Wasn't this episode in like, Season 5 or 6 or something? Which means Penny had already had PLENTY of time to make up her mind about how she felt about Leonard. If she really loved him, she would have been really happy he was moving in with her. But she wasn't happy, she was totally against the idea even if she didn't say it out loud. I don't think she ever really loved poor Leonard, she just grit her teeth and painfully settled for him. Because all the cool, rich and good looking guys she dated turned out to be asses. So settle for your only alternative, what else can you do?

This is an excellent example of a situation where Leonard + Penny + Alex could have been very happy together. When A & L were out, Penny could go do her own thing , even go see her girl friends and vice versa when L & P were together.
