I really like the shot when it quickly switches to her POV as she checks around the corner in the library. s00per sp00ky stuff, well done Andrew!

It is the lonesome presence of the lady in the vast library & untoward happenings around her in utter silence are unspeakably spooky.... tremendous job Andrew... btw is it a university library??? Which university???

I'm sure this took a decent amount of time but you should definitely do more of this type of content! I've got an idea for you... if you are game. Either way, very impressive!

@@AndrewMacFarlane Just to warm you up to the idea... I was hoping you could remind me if you remember if we took any math classes together at st. pats? Maybe Mrs. Droste? Do you recall?
@AndrewMacFarlane

Yup, I think we were in all the same STEM classes and I do remember Mrs. Droste now that you mention her haha.

@@AndrewMacFarlane I thought so but I wanted to just check. So here is the idea, and where it came from... I just completed my Master's of Education(uOttawa) and my main focus of the whole program was "make trigonometry great again" but the biggest thing that I found difficult is getting my point across in a "short and pithy" way. (like your videos) So, what I am thinking is that I give you some direction in terms of content and "the message"(ideally over time you begin to resonate with it too) and we can find a way to work together to produce content(as its pretty clear that you have a talent for this, as well as Jill). I've got more "vision" for this but I figure we just start with something small and manageable. Think of it like a short skit we might "do for the kids at Greensboro" just for the joy of it. The story(or the bare bones of it) I would like to start with is: www.researchgate.net/publication/238680467_Survivor_the_Trigonometry_Challenge Ideally, you will get an opportunity to see what might be missing in terms of mathematics from our "school experience" that might explain why people think "I don't use trigonometry every day implicitly" and begin to open a few eyes to where STEM fits in their lives... all while making fundamental/fun content that is meaningful, enriching, and valuable to you as film maker. I can answer the mathematics related questions(but I'm sure it won't be long before you start realizing that there is no reason why you can't do this is all) to start as its possible you have some doubts(I'd be surprised if you didn't) about the ideas in the story/content. I was thinking this "desert island" or "castaway" kind of theme can be translated in assorts of ways whether "horror" or "sci-fi" or "romance" or "adventure" etc. (Yes I use quotations too much... I'm not a prolific writing or anything). To create context for the viewer to consider mathematics/trigonometry(we can eventually differentiate those notions) in an enjoyable yet educational or "infotainment" way. Just some thoughts. I can understand that this might sound like a "huge undertaking" but I would suggest super small micro tiny baby steps. Like even breaking down the paper into parts or parts of parts as well we can have as much creative liberty with it as we please. I can speak to the author of the paper if you are concerned about copywriter or anything, I have a pretty good relationship with the professor(I've interviewed him). Let me know if you are interested, either way, thanks for reading and can't wait to see what you make next! -Pete
