That was an excellent fight from cobolli, he was so up for it, even a set and a break down was putting enourmous pressure on shelton and eventually it seemed like he overwhelmed him and broke his spirit.

Shapovalov is the same as his good friend faa in that when they are playing at their best they can compete with anyone on the atp tour but the problem is that they cannot seem to play at that level for any sustained length of time.

Same problem for Shelton. Break point conversions. Anyway, hes made a lot of progress on clay this year, so nothing to be ashamed of. He has the ability to improve much more on this surface.

Flavio played gritty and smart tennis. There is no question regarding Ben's talents, but sometimes he is like a diamond in the rough. I can see his tennis iq is getting higher. When he playsvthe net he is usually winning there. I wonder how he'll muster a big run in RG?

The most important victory of the day is Cobogli vs Shelton. Shapovalov (in my opinion) normal and obvious victory against Coria, Shapovalov clearly stronger therefore, nothing abnormal. Very good Griekspoor, not an easy match. Nice win for Moreno against Goffin. I'm sorry for Murray's defeat but everyone is getting older.

Yes, it's amazing and annoying how often that happens. It's usually down to the players having the same sponsor, so they both seem to have to wear the same kit as demanded by said sponsor, regardless. It should be like most other sports, where there has to be a decent difference.
