Going back and comparing this to the original Prophecy trailer.. Oh my, the lighting has improved incredibly, they are using the latest character models and camera angles have been tweaked. Also, the fighting sound effects are superior.
Question is if we actually get to fight with him, or if the encounter will be skewing sugerente. It somehow doesn't feel like a fighting scene... I think that moment in the trailer could be something different
@@ChillStreamsLive they're is surely the option of a bad ending, like in the pervious ones.... But it will be an open ending, another cliffhanger if you will. That is already for sure
@@johnames6430 im not sure if he will "escape", but maybe the plot will take it a totally different way that we'd expect. Maybe Lan Di wont be the big enemy in Shenmue 4?
They're saying Shenhua's is being partially re-designed, not sure if it's just her face or her clothing too. I actually like her face now, although i miss the tom boyish features. What i don't like is her clothes...they look so plain and more lifeless compared to the original design.
I'm a bit torn on that. I actually like the new design, she looks lovely. But i probably would have kept the design, if just have refreshed it a bit and added some fine textures. Still, I think she looks fine. In an interview I learnt that this design is closer to what he envisioned back then. I prefer the new English voice though. I was really annoyed hearing the previous Welsh voice of her... Basically I was happy I did play shenmue 2 in Japanese... I really didn't like her voice when I've heard it in the English version on the xbox back then. She sounds OK now
I think it's a budget issue cos the old CGI in Shenmue online was really good. Everything here looks wooden. A game like this needs the triple A budget and development.
@@victoralistein2481 Unfortunately, they dunt have such a budget. Of course, with more money you could make this game a big shiny gem, but despite it's flaws it still looks lovely, and more important, it looks and feels like shenmue.
Absolutely beautiful! Cannot wait until the release! Ever since I played the first game on the humble Sega Dreamcast back in the year 2000, I have been engrossed with the story of Ryo Hazuki and after playing Shenmue II (yes I still have it, I'm based in England so bought the PAL DC version even though it didn't have English VOICES, but also have the OG XBox version that released 2 years after) I HAD to see a conclusion to the saga. I love these games so much and when I saw Michael Huber's reaction to the Shenmue III announcement, my heart melted and I preordered the game on Kickstarter there and then! After playing the 1st & 2nd game again on PS4 remastered last year, it cemented my love for this game! Big shout out to the legend that is Yu Suzuki and his entire team for bringing back and finishing this amazing story. These games change my thought of what video games can be!
when viewed from the trailer, it looks like the Shenmue 3 game started from Ryo first arrived at Shenhua's house and they went to the cave to meet Shenhua's father.
Seeing as how this game does not conclude the story, I’m pretty sure Ryo won’t fight Lan Di, or if he does he’s getting his ass well and truly whipped lol
Suzuki implied that Ryo may defeat Lan Di in this game, but that his destiny with Shenhua goes beyond that. I think he's making it so 3 could be a decent ending on the chance that further games can't be made.
@@holeefuk6402 not officially when this trailer was originally released. They released this screenshot of him on twitter MONTHS after trailer came out. twitter.com/ShibuyaProd/status/1098122355900141568/photo/2
They changed her, and thank god for that. I couldn't stand the English voice if the xbox Version. Yu suzuki wanted her to sound a bit restraint, not too empirical, but the previous voicedub was straight out bad. Sounded like she'd would read a text or loud that somebody did just put into her hands. I'm happy with her new voice. I'm not sure about the Japanese version though, but I believe she's the original voice dub there
@@dragonseye00 as crazy as it sounds, that's what I enjoyed about her..for me a lot of the charm of shenmue was the bad voice acting and stilted delivery
@@ajtstvandmusicarchivechann1585 i can respect that ☺️ I guess I felt annoyed because I heard her voice in Japanese before, and later she sounded somehow annoying hearing her in English. It probably depends much on what you start with
Weirdly enough, I liked the forklift job in Shenmue, it felt like I was inching my way towards my goal, forming bonds with my coworkers and uncovering the stuff that happened at the docks... It was really fun, by I couldn't stand the working minigame in Shenmue 2, this is why I cheated to get money in that game
It's a pity this game ought to be on the level of Red dead even better than the last of us franchise but it's been relegated to such miniscule level. Yu Suzuki needs a solid financial backer that can give this franchise the red dead treatment in development and presentation.
Nah, i kinda like how consistent it is..thing is, it should of got a red dead treatment had there been a shenmue 3 like 15 16 years ago..shenmue 4 would have been the next step..but i personally like how smaller and detailed this game already is..
Yes, Shenhua's voice actress is as bad as she sounds. No idea why she almost sounds like a valley girl...i mean, chinese valley in the 80s is one thing but L.A. Valley in 2019 is....QUITE another thing.
Not sure about what you refer to with "LA Valley"? Yeah, she sounds like a girl from a Chinese valley in the 80s, and basically that's what the creator wanted to achieve. So... As said, I'm not sure about what point you intent to make 🤔
