Sheriff Robert Luna will provide an update regarding the incident where a deputy was shot while inside his patrol car. The Deputy was shot on September 16th, 2023 at approximately 6pm. He was transported to a local hospital where he is currently listed in critical condition.

The deputy was targeted. This was not a random occurrence or crime of opportunity. This was a planned action with malice aforethought. The suspects were laying in wait for this particular deputy.

Does this shooting have anything to do with his father, grandfather, or fiance? The killer was so stupid/bold in this shooting. A police parking lot...
