@raigekimaru Sherrill Milnes was a true Verdi baritone, who could hit the high C of tenor, but, although his voice sounded dark in the baritone repertoire (Rigoletto), he had tremendous top notes. A little story : one day, Placido Domingo and Milnes (very good friends in life) were rehearsing Verdi's Otello, respectively as Otello and Iago. But, at the duet "Si pel marmoreo ciel", they decided to change their parts ... and Domingo started singing Iago, while Milnes sang the title part.
