Frankie is the best, I met him about 25 yrs ago and he was a great sweet down to earth guy, and talked to me like he was the next door guy..God Bless him he looks great.
My favorite group. I just love Frankie Valli. I love their music. I saw them in person and they were just wonderful. I could listen to their music all day and never get tired of listening to then. ❤❤❤❤❤Love you Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons from a huge fan of yours ❤❤❤❤❤
@@acelarson1872 I can't believe the number of people actually think he is singing. Just watch him closely. There are a number of other fairly recent videos on RU-vid there is no question he is lip syncing.
@@fabio40 90 years old and sounds like he's in his 30's no way a voice could do that. Fools just pay to see this living corpse on stage lipping, his new young wife is making him do this to get as much money from him.
@@juliehunt9665 Not criticizing his voice. I'm saying he is definitely lip syncing. Even the best singers don't the voice they used to at 90 years old. Paul McCartney recently turned 80 and he can't sing live as well as he used to, but he doesn't lip sync..... yet.
We all know how amazingly talented Frankie is, and how he changed the culture of the music world. I know Frankie's Goddaughter, and she told me that beyond his talent and fame, there isn't a nicer, more generous guy in the world than Frankie Valli!
Was one of my top favorites in high school. Loved them. Also, loved everyone from Detroit Michigan: aka Motown. I was fortunate to grow up in a super talented time when singers were very very talented. Beach boys too. I could go on. Thanks for sharing this video.
True artist. His voice is stellar!!! At his age to sing like that. God bless him. Thank you Frankie for all the years of memories made in my life, to you and the 4 Seasons music. ❤❤
Everyone who criticizes Frankie for lip syncing has to realize we won't get to see him with the group again if we fuss about it. Appreciate what he can give us.
@@r1r597 Technically no, because he sings along with a vocal track. The 4 seasons are singing live. I bought tickets for my aunt knowing this, and she still loved "the show".
When my two little sisters used to Ask me to sing this song To help them go to sleep she would say Kathy can you sing me the song and I would sing songs like this and Duke of Earl Earth Angel Daddy’s home and they would gently fall asleep Frankie Valli has one amazing voice …. reminiscing 🕊
I doubt this song changed the culture of the United States. A man singing like a pre pubescent girl does not have that power. I saw him in 1975 and 1976. Same exact show with the songs inthe identical order. Like his music but he mailed it in those 2 times.
@@TooLooze I was around in the 50s. Nobody has the power to change culture. Culture is the behavior of a very large group of people. The only musicians in the 20th century that AFFECTED culture were the Beatles. Frankie Vali and the Four Seasons were quite successful and sold many records. They didn't even change music as no one followed their lead.
True, You must include Elvis however. The 4 seasons were great, and fun to listen to but no culture shifting. There are dozens of singing bands that were better…. ( see anything male in Motown) Frankie has his place and even though he’s not singing here, he’s giving his people what they want.
You can criticize the lip sync all you want. Here you have the opportunity to see a legend live. How much longer will that opportunity last? His backup is likely grandchildren age of the originals. I have seen live performances of this era performers without the lip sync and most of the time I left with a sad feeling because the performer sounded nothing like the original recording I have been listening to for decades.
Like I told my Dad about Paul McCartney (whose voice is shot to heck): People aren't paying to see Paul McCartney live. They're paying to see Paul McCartney alive.
Why?? I refuse to believe. By his. Dignity and pride in the Art. He made. That he'd lip sync. #2. Listen closely on a surround sound the man is actually straining. And. Why. Would he need to lip sync??? That man probably needs nothing but his enjoyment of his. Art. For people. And last. Please have empathy and dignity for an. 89 years of age man still eager to perform for people. If we look. He. Is. The longest performing singer next to him is Elton John. Let's picture ourselves at 89 and give this man the love and dignity he deserves. Thank you
Thank you Very Much, that man is in his 80s and so that being what kind of DIGNITY do the people that make fun of him have anyway ? Terrible their parents or grandparents would be ashamed .@@charlenecasoli4172
Agree with some comments online: "Unfortunately he lip-syncs all his songs these days. He’s been lip-syncing for 20 years, but people still love to see him. Every performance sounds the exact same over the last 20 years or so. Frankie's vocals are pre-recorded digitally enhanced tracks from later in his career. He's been using them for years now. The band plays live to a click track and the backing singers are singing live. I don't understand why older artists do this. I get they want to keep performing, but he's lip-syncing here, and the track he's lip-syncing to is also pitch corrected. Frankie is an American treasure, but it's time to retire!"
If he was lip-synching to that song wouldn’t you think they would use your original cut? The song was similar but not the same and they would have to record it with the changes Frank made some of the verses in my opinion that’s kind of tough. He may still have the ability to sing and hit those notes. Just a thought from a guy who 76 and can still hit those notes just saying⚡️
No. But my stereo is a dual amp surround on 1 side. And subwoofers 12" supplied by a Harmon cardon amp. And hearing the tweeters. He is straining. I recognize because I'm a complimented kareoke singer. Of Elvis. Sinatra or Dino... I cannot due Barry Manilow's high notes. But. Bass voice.
Um….. I love Frankie but you all know he’s singing to tracks right? I mean the talking bear lip movement at Disney is more accurate. His mic has a switch and he does his spoken banter and then switches it off.
I don't think Frankie Valli is still singing because he needs the money... I think he is doing it to recapture the thrill of being young and famous. Many older performers do it for this reason, including Frank Sinatra who was still working in Las Vegas in his 70s.
@@jimtait6263 Sinatra performed "live" concerts in Las Vegas and Los Angeles right up until two years before he died. I know - I was in hundreds of his concerts. over the years. Sinatra performed decades after Eisenhower left office.
Cathynewyork7918, what I meant by Sinatra hasn’t “sung” THAT was the key word sung. Sinatra talked the songs at best he talked with a slight drum beat. I do agree that Sinatra had some fantastic and iconic songs. Im 64 years old and I can be honest here. New York was a way better song than Chicago. That’s Life is a way better song then Fly me to the Moon. Summer Wind way better then Love and Marriage. A lot of his songs are just crap. The BEST part of his songs are by far his Band or Orchestra. All of them made Sinatra what his is/was. To prove my point, sing New York in your head. I guarantee you, you will sing it like this… “It’s Up To You Newwww York New wwww Yorrrrk. and that because your singing the music that made that song iconic.
Wonder why he continues to do this? It's clear that he is put all together and guided out of the dressing room and onto the stage. Not much energy there and it's weird to see him like a wooden person "walking" around the stage. Just not the way he should go out there - best to let it rest and let folks think and remember him from the good old days when he was really alive up there. Just my opinion.
That is what age 89 looks like or better than most!!! He is also not really singing here. Love his songs though. He had a hard life with the death of 2 daughters early on and 4 marriages. Guess he likes remembering because he doesn’t have to do all this fake singing with almost 90 million in net worth.
