Great video. I came up with a simple (No Park Tool) method to remove the bearing load cap. I first loosened the two pinch bolts to remove any tension they applied to the cap. Being somewhat cheap, I used a pair on long needle nose pliers and inserted them inside the cap, into the groves of the cap. I used a long screw driver, inserted in the gap of the pliers, helping the tips of the pliers to stay in the cap grooves. Since the cap was finger tight, it came off easily. I reversed the steps when reassembling the cap. Tightening the pinch bolts last actually provides sufficient tension to keep cap from coming loose. Thanks again!
A very nice to the point video on how to install the Hollowtech II style Shimano Crank. Toogy does a nice job including to point out to re-grease inside the bottom bracket.
Toogy Howser MTB It is more expensive yes, but I just cut not pass up on that new 1-12 drivrtrain. Also I'm not a huge fan of orange, but will admit that the 2018 Roscoe 8 is not ugly at all.
I just broke my derailleur on my roscoe last week. I upgraded to the sram GX eagle drivechain 1 by 12. I'm still waiting to get my bike back from the shop.
3 years later, is the M7000 worth it? There is a seller for a used M7000 crankset at $110. Is it worth it? The M7120 is not in stock anywhere for my 2021 TREK Marlin 7.
I have a marlin 5 7 speed. Broke my crankarm. Non in stock for months. Someone's trying to sell their marlin 6 8speed crankset, shifter etc everything but the frame and the wheels. Is it compatible? Are they different rims? Should I go for it?
I was looking to upgrade my roscoe 8 to an external bottom bracket....do you think that the NX 1x GXP Crankset will work with the roscoe 8? Im new to bike mechanics and i dont wanna go to my LBS
Shimano recommend 40-50NM but in my opinion not need and way too much I only put 15NM and in 3 years never come loose and remember put high quality anti seize on thread bb so won’t be struggle when u need take them out again
