Yes mine has 15lb braid to hi vis 8 mono on 7 ft Shimano scimitar med fast 1pc can't go wrong nice 100$combo

an old shimano you can't find anymore. I would recommend a shimano stimula 6.6 med or med light should be around $45 on ebay new

You want a salty friendly cheap reel I would go with the Daiwa crossfire 3000-4000 series. Hands down probably my favorite cost friendly reel for saltwater.
