Shimano Stella 30000 in action on a 90 lb bluefin tuna 

I set out on a mission to catch big bluefin on a spinner. I knew it wouldn't be easy I knew if I was goin to pull it off I was going to need the biggest baddest reels on the Market pair with a rod that can not only hold up to the abuse but deliver punishment at the same time. My recent studies/ experience show me you don't absolutely leave a Stella it's more so about the rod. You don't have the right rod where you down so much faster.

Exactly right for the price we pay for some of these reels it better perform great in crucial situations. I put at least 20 lb of drag out the gate just gla my line held up.

Big facts. I'm here to represent for the spinning gear. I believe with the right rod and reel I can catch almost the same size Tunas as the guys catching them on conventional and bring them in at the same time or less.

The International jig and pop community have proven the viability of spin reels since the creation of braided lines. The Shimano Stella and Daiwa Saltiga have been around for years now. What boat were you on?

It's not just the west coast! People always telling me know to use spinning gear on 39hr fishing trips here in Fl. I show up with my 10k, 20k Stella and bring up monsters faster.

It's so much fun. Holding The Ride Like This and leaning back with that kind of drag you can really put a lot of pressure on the fish.

Google Van staal Rods vjs series. This Rod was tough-as-nails on this fight.

That was pretty dope. It was nice meeting you as well bro. I got pretty cool content up until we started rock fishing then my focused shift to just get bit. I'm planning on hoping back on but don't know when.

In my opinion if we're talking about casting I will probably go with some sort of Spectra braid low in diameter very light no memory. It has always worked really well for me

I was running 100 lbs spectra power pro. I don't know if you seen the 3000 Stella but it can hold some serious line. 700 yards of 100 pound spectra 😃.

Do you care to elaborate on that as to why? We all pay the same amount to get on these charters everyone comes with a variety of different things that they prefer using. Maybe it would be a waste of time if you tried using one because some people just don't have what it takes to fight 100-plus pounds bluefin on a spinning setup and get it to the deck in good time.
