Does anyone know the difference between the 200A low profile and regular 200

For the model I’m showing which is the 200a, there’s a high gear model which has a 7.2:1 gear ratio, and then there’s a extra high gear model which is a 8.5:1 gear ratio. The regular or older models of the Tranx are the 300 and 400 models. They’re heavier and not a low profile, but they do have a higher drag and line capacity.

Tranx is one word. Its pronounced like Tranks. I pronounced it wrong the first time too. Lol

It’s not a salt water reel, it’s many a fresh water reel but is meant for deep cranks, heavy jigs and other heavy lures

Look on the website it’s considered a salt water reel, plus it’s made with salt water components. But many people kinda like me mainly or only use it for fresh water fishing.
