Thx for telling. I am not sure what you mean, and no longer have this shifter., so can't redo it. Maybe you mean the little screw holding the cover. Yes remove that. I did not catch that somehow. It shows that in the thumbnail. My old vids were a mess. No proper editing software, no tripod.

@@harrywheeler1 best way to find parts is to go on shimano's parts site and look up hte code in pdf files they have, and use that to search,I forgot the name of that web address.

Shimano offer parts for it yes, atheist they did for this one.

I haven't heard of this website, but check Sjs cycles, they are in UK and usually have alot of spareparts for shimano.

Great question, I don't know why, but I missed that part, sorry, there is a flat head screw holding securing it at 0:15 you can see there is an long hole for it to slide along, so the you have to take the bottom cover off first, including barrel adjuster, and then you can lift off the cover, then remove the small flat head screw with a small screw driver. also be care full, there is a shim for the bolt, don't loose it.

But I see this retailer has a bar clamp, so can I stall it on the bar without the brake. I'm sorry. How did you separate the i-spec adapter from the shift lever? It won't come off even if I loosen the bolt, but is there another bolt inside?

You just undo the bolt, take cover off, separate mechanism from the cover, which is attached with bolts,, undo bolt underneath the plastic cover. At least on m8000 and m9000. this picture shows what I mean: flic.kr/p/MrKnVU
