Thanks for watching, liking and subscribing! Any Shin-chan fans out there? Grab discounted eshop credit over at www.cornershop.gg and code CORNER at checkout for 10% off! EDIT: It seems the game is currently under $1 in the Colombian and Chile eshops - I can't say I've ever used them or understand what cards work but if you know the deal, I'd suggest looking there!
I agree with your review except when you call this a game you can just pick up for 15 minutes at a time. You did acknowledge later that you can only save at the end of the in-game day. I have found that it takes more like 30 minutes to an hour to get through a day and save. I think the game feels unfinished but i also find it very charming and relaxing. Look at the shot where shinchan is first handed the camera, you can see shinchan’s wonky hand through the camera. The DJ booth is an incomplete dud. i really like this game but with just a little more attention and effort i think it could have been a lot better.
Shin chan is quite popular here in the Philippines during the 90's alongside doraemon. Honestly thought this would be some sort of mature content because shin chan as portrayed in the anime is naughty amd how interacts with all the women around him. I hope this becomes physically available as well.
Really appreciate this review, as I've never played this series before but have been eyeing this particular game. Looks like it may be right up my alley! Will keep it in mind over the next couple days.
@@sorraks at least, you have Japanese audio track. I bought the Asian release back in May and we're stuck with a Cantonese, Mandarin and Korean dub track.
I finished this game last night - what a wonderful little adventure. Question though - I never could pass the dentist sign / cross the ditch, and couldn't ride the cable car other than for that one episode… so how do I reach that part of the town? As far as I'm aware, the only episodes I didn't complete were the Dino battle and Shin Chan becoming the manager of the restaurant (also a bit lost as to how this one is completed). Any help would be much appreciated!
This is spooky - I found out about the shin chan anime four days ago from my partner and was loving it. And now this review! A coincidence? I don’t think so! I think I should… shake my butt in this game!
Had never heard of this whole series, etc before this game was brought to light, and will definitely be getting it though will probably have to wait for a good sale as money is super tight right now. Looks so fun and chill though!
I don't know how the eshops work there, maybe Paypal I guess but it seems that Colombia and Chile eshops have it for less than a dollar, least, that's what I'm seeing and that's what the comments told me. Seems to range from 4 cents to 40 cents..... - EDIT: Being told it accepts US Credit Cards
@@SwitchCorner Yea, I saw some of those comments and was intrigued. I've never messed with my region, etc though so don't really know how that works, and of course worried it might mess something up heh I'm in Canada and only use my PayPal so not sure if I could anyhow.
Shinchan is really really popular back in 90s in southeast asia (both the manga and anime). The boy is quirky and naughty in a funny way, and all other characters have each own unique personality. So sad that the author is dead by accident way back then and the series cut short. The original art is very 2d so it's interesting to see it in 3d scene here. I'm not sure about the gameplay, but for the art (and nostalgia) alone is instabuy for me.
Yeah. I also thought Chile has the lowest price. But Colombia has even more crazier discount. Also, next week I would suggest you review RPG TIME: THE LEGEND OF WRIGHT. Another upcoming good game for the switch with crazy discount as well for Argentina Eshop. I think its just 20 cents there.
Yours seems to be the only review on RU-vid for this. I pre ordered it because of this review and playing it now. What a fantastic and relaxing game, it reminds me of being on my family holidays as a child. Do you know if you run out of days at all? I want to take my time but worry that if I go to bed in the game I'll miss parts of the story. Also one thing that confuses me is the butt run, do we know what this is all about yet 😂
You will run out of time Neon! The game hits credits! That said, once complete you can go into a new game + and carry over most things and see the story again, uncover what you missed. Just know, new game plus is a little weird, it’s not a menu option. Rather, you will need to go to save files and click the one that says complete and it will just load in, it’s kinda strange the way they did it. What what I’ve seen though the loop is the same!
WOW this takes me back, nobody asked for this game but it certainly brings back memories Back when I was a kid Cartoon Network broke down, so my dad found RTL 2 and Super RTL that was german and that Is when I started watching the old school anime Case closed, Bayblade, Ranma 1/2. . . God I miss the days when I was young, dumb and care free 😥
So, I saw that was an option too... RPG Time is 50 cents. My question is, once you purchase a pre-order is it locked in and you pay right away? Or can they ding you for the remainder of the cost if the price goes up before the release date?
Thanks Rodolfo! I was just looking at the price in the chile eshop, I'm not sure if it's normal for a game thats $40 USD to be that low, it converts to about 40 cents
@@SwitchCorner think the same! Just for the record...I think you could cover LA countries (Brazil, Chile, Colombia and Peru...Argentina is country-locked) into consideration when reviewing some eShop discount...e.g.: Ashen is always falling to around 1 USD when the game get on sale in the US.
I used to watch the show on adult swim back then it was my favorite wish that thay would air it again I am going to buy this game just cause I miss the show lol
This is a carbon copy of Attack of the Friday Monsters, even some of the images of the different roads you walk on are EXACTLY the same.... Same for the chapter cycle and the rock paper scissors game....
Not that I'm aware of yet! I know Japan got one but I'm not sure they would patch English in at launch unfortunately! I liked it enough that I was looking for that too!
It doesn't even appeal to some fans. I'm a casual fan of Shin Chan and the fact that it's sub only, no dub, means that mostly only otaku/weebs will like it. My first and most memorable experiences with Shin Chan, that got me in to the show in the first place, were memories of watching English dubs on TV.. The personality I remember isn't there, because it's all expressed in Japanese, still... Except for the text.. But that's a pretty big disconnect for someone who isn't a weeb that goes digging for sub-only anime...
Sometimes, the visuals can really throw off a title for me and this is a good example of that. I just cant see myself getting into any type of story with this game, I would just be too focused on the weird animated look of the characters. Its a pass for me.
