I mean, I don’t know why you think Kiri knowing about the Nouzen clan is surprising. Man’s surname is literally Kiriya Nouzen. Not related, but a distant cousin. And at this point, I think it’s very much obvious Shin doesn’t give a fuck. The smile, the suicidal runs; a man who doesn’t have anything to lose anymore. And with him assuming Lena may have died, that’s pretty much his one ‘light’ extinguished.
Hey I just wanted to give a few details on the morpho from the light novels MORPHO Main armament: 800mm railgun x1 Main armament max range: 400km Main armament barrel velocity: 4000m/s Secondary armaments: 40mm antiair antiground electromagnetic Vulcan cannon x6 Total width: 40.2m Total height: 11.4m Total weight: 1400 tons Cruising speed: 200km/h using old interstate railway tracks. Name is derived from a type of butterfly I can't remember how railguns work but I belive they use electromagnetism to launch each round at incredible speeds, also each round of its main armament weighs 1 ton To prevent ground assault the Morpho has a strike force of heavy tank type Dinosauria at its beck and call. Also the legions call sign for Shin is Baleygr meaning "the one with flaming eyes" Hope yall found this interesting!
Frederica said Kiriya is only 4 years older than Shinei, which means "he's" currently 21 years old. But the Empire fell fours years ago, that means Kiriya died and was assimilated when he was 17, that's why he looks so young. About the Legion "not wanting" to kill Shin, they want to kill him, but don't want his body to be destroyed in the process, they want his brain intact so they can make him a Shepperd (like Rei and Kiri) or maybe even a Commander (like No-Face). Fun facts about the codenames: Shinei's Báleygr is a name of Odin and it means "Flaming Eye, Shifty Eyed". Kiriya's Pale Rider is commonly associated with the fourth of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse in Christian eschatology. "The fourth and final horse is pale, and upon it rides Death...". So basically, that makes Kiri the third Nouzen to be associated with a Grim Reaper figure.
Ah thanks! I immediately recognized Báleygr as being from Norse mythology, but I was blanking on who it was (been a while since I did much research on the subject,) and for some reason I was thinking the Pale Rider was pestilence/conquest, but death makes a lot more sense (I never seem to remember which horseman has which color, so I'm not surprised I got them mixed up...)
Raiden just said Shin is the only one who is able to bring Federica back to the main troop through all the Legion, so he is not gonna do that lol but he would keep Federica with him in his Reginleif and fight along with the others.
@@Lalafluffbunny All the Reginleifs have a 2nd seat, but Raiden is the only one who can carry her because his unit provides covering and support fire. Shin and Theo both engage in high-risk close combat maneuvers, and Kurena and Anju need absolute concentration to provide long range fire support. She is safest/affects the mission the least if she's with Raiden.
About the "wings" we see on the Morpho and the power in the city you were confused about. A railgun (at least based on the tech we have today) uses electromagnetic propulsion to launch dense metallic projectiles at enormous speeds by passing several kilovolts of electric potential at extremely high current (usually 3-5 million amps). This generates a LOT of heat. The "wings" we see actually function like a heatsink for the railgun so it doesn't overheat when being fired, this is similar concept to how our computers (CPU + GPU) require heatsinks. We see the "wings" flapping as it fires because it is used to create airflow around the wings in order to allow better heat dissipation, similar to how our computer heatsinks need a fan to blow on it. In physics, electromagnetism can cause the flow of electrons, this is the same principal behind induction motors as well as wireless charging, but taken to the extreme. This is why, as the railgun fires, we see the city lights in the direction of the railgun's gun barrel light up, and then explode. At the moment of firing, a huge amount of current at high voltage (probably millions of volts) is instantly released from the morpho's capacitors(?
Was looking for a comment like this. I LOVE the details in the show that relate to real life science, technology, and militaries. When their squadron commander showed them the organizational chart of the unit the squadron will be a part of I was illogically happy, it really does look like a military organization chart. The animation team did their homework, and so did the author. I adored the detail of the rail gun producing that EM field during firing and if no one mentioned it I wanted to give the anime props (and possibly the LN too since I don't know how it describes this event as I'm planning to get into the novels once the season is over while waiting for the show to continue).
The unfairness of long-range artillery was one of the things the author was really hyped about when writing this arc. Excerpt from, Vol 3 of the LN Afterword: "Things like heavy artillery and missiles are often looked down upon in these kind of robot stories, so I wanted to let them take center stage for once. Don't you just want to see the ace's rig get blown away by suppressive fire without a hint of elegance or coolness left to them? Because I love seeing that. I love seeing that so much. Which is why this time, the enemy is a Railgun on railway artillery!!!"
I'm very sure the reason that Kiri was surprised to see the headless reaper still alive is that he was the shepherd leading the swarm of legion that almost killed the gang back in the last episode of the first season.
Hey loved your reaction but it's also awesome that halo was your childhood game it was mine too and just to let you know the multiplayer is free and it's awesome 👌
I have a bad feeling coz of the ending picture. usually they use pictures for the ending that is related to the next ep and that picture looked like the morpho with kiri. it totally feels like some ppl in the gang will die bec of the morpho...
I don't know if there is any light novel readers here but [small spoiler] . . . . . . . . Isn't No-Face someone we know? According to his voice, that is. I already had my suspicions but I didn't think it'd be true...
