Ideally you want drain/reflect so Demi Fiend will instantly lose all of his turn, but the thing is there are only 2 Demons that learn those being Nuwa A and Fallen Abdiel. So it will take a lot of prep time to do this
What's so "cheese" about having a bunch of demons that reflect/drain phys against a boss that mostly uses physical attacks? Isn't that just how you're supposed to play SMT?
@@HunterStiles651 The "cheese" (I hate that term) comes from the fact that Demi-Fiend's AI is seemingly programmed to use Deadly Fury on any demon that switches in on a given turn, meaning that you essentially exploit his dumbass AI into giving up his turns
To be fair, literally everyone equips Masakados to fight Lucifer back in Nocturne, so I found the criticism of using Demi-fiend's skills to fight Demi-fiend a little too harsh.
That's almost the only way to beat him Leave him with his "weakest demons", buff nahobino to hit with the maximum power per turn (you can hit demifiend twice) and, now, force him to use heal three times to run out of mana......and that
Congrats! I give you props for even beating him on Normal. Any tips on what Nahobino skills are worth keeping? Edit: I think a lot of people don’t know how to fight him because I can tell you actually gave your demon skills to make this fight easier
I’m glad that after being so infamous in Digital Devil Saga 2, they finally returned Demi-fiend as an absurdly powerful superboss in this game lol. And both him and the fiends showing up in this game just makes the parallels between SMT3 and SMT5 more apparent than they already are. Not that I’m complaining though, ‘cause I highkey enjoy both games!
@@smirkingspyFO76 maybe Btw i would like a Pc port either way, because more people would play it But in other side i don't want It because Pc people will call Switch players idiots that play the inferior version(because of framerate) and start their thesis in why Pc is superior
I wonder how many Demon Allies the Demi Fiend has? Can he run out of em? Does he revive em? He has over 200 Demon Allies? Or just infinitely summons em?
How in god's name did you get Repel Phys and Enduring Soul on ALL your demons? The only ones I know off the top of my head who learn them are Fallen Abdiel and Fionn, did you just fuse them into Elements and then use those as fodder for everything else or something? I can't fathom having to grind their Essences like 20 times...
Yeah. Almighty attacks could crit starting Nocturne. It is then on and off again throughout games such as DDS 1 and 2 and then IV and Final/Apocalypse.
Demi Fiend doesn't even really loose, Pixie is like "well you just won our training, goodbye" I think that he is really one of the strongest Smt protags
Fan favorite for sure, I think Nanashi is the strongest sadly just because the DLC kinda spells it out for us that demifiend was killed off at some point if my memory serves and Nanashi defeats YHVH. I will say hes stronger then 1hero, Aleph and Flynn 100%. As for the other games in the series perhaps Abel is on demifiends level but yeah thats about it.
@@ShardsOfStone SMT IV DLC is a what if , the True Demon Ending of Nocturne was not what SMTIV chose for him .. if its the TDE then Demifiend is easily the strongest thing in SMT universe since he fights the Great Will that no other protagonist even knows about.
@@ShardsOfStone Demi fiend gets stronger. You really think he doesn't? Also demi fiend >>>>>>>>>>Nanashi. We can have a friendly discussion about it if you're interested.
With this and some advice from a friend, I was able to beat the Demifiend on Normal. My timing with switching demons and doing things at the right moments were off til I saw this. Still, finally got my revenge against the Demifiend in Digital Devil Saga 1, which I never did beat him there even after 40 times. Thanks, BuffMaister :)
So what's the strat here? Seems like it's to switch in demons that repel or nullify physical attacks so that Demi-Fiend attacks them and he loses all his press turns but I'm not sure if I'm missing anything else Buff please tell me so I can prepare 😂
is it only me or it seem the critical/weakness priority going up in smt 5 rather than resist? coz i remember in previous installement triggering resist consume 2 press turn point despite success on hit the weakness one? im confused
