Ironically, there is still the true godhead remaining - the real god of abrahamic faiths. YHWH is basically just another name for Yaolbadaoth. Even the start of the name sounds loosely like YHWH, not to mention the snake body and being called the "creator god".
Can I just say how god damn amazing it is what they did for this boss... allowing the heroes of the original game to form a second party and fight alongside you, while your party disproves the teachings of YHVH with their own experiences and reduces the being known as God to the level of a demon. This is one of my favorite games ever... and just the fact that the game expects you to be at, or at least near the Level Cap for the Final Boss, and not leave an extra 30 or so for you to grind up for secret bosses, is another nice touch I love. Shows that you truly are fighting one of the most supreme beings in the universe.
Blue Flare! And then there's Steven, against whom the combined power of five protagonists (one of which being a bonus boss himself) is just barely enough. Mind you, while he does use everything he has, as he claims, he still just quits.
Blue Flare! I actually find most of these statements against YHVH pretty empty, it's kinda like a edgy teenager would put to refuse God, mostly of these didn't make sense or would be refute very easily
IMO, this is one of the most enjoyable fights in the series. They make it quite a spectacle, especially in Phase 2. Also, still can't believe you did this on Apocalypse difficulty. Omega is truly the God of Games
Walter: "Heh. Sorry about that!!" *YOU BETTER BE FUCKING SORRY WALTER!! AFTER ALL THE PLAY COINS I SPEND AND WASTING MY WHOLE DAYS WALKING OUTSIDE BECAUSE OF YOU!*
"YHVH is smirking!" Is that what everyone's face actually looks like when they smirk!?! That was incredible :D GJ Omega! You used the power of friendship, and even helped Krishna fulfill his goal... err kinda :D
I kind of enjoy how he just.... Falls apart at the end. That everyone calls him out on how he (rightfully) comes off as an oppressive monster, wanting everything in return while giving nothing back. Wants everything to go how he wants it, everyone else (literally) be damned. And then he turns into this.
Anybody else get real sick, real fast, of Nozomi constantly reminding everybody that she's the fairy queen? It's like she's a vegan, always announcing it.
ZKtheMAN compared to what Nanashi and Flynn are yes it is small shit and yet they don’t announce it. Neither is Hallelujah screaming about being the leader of the Ashura Kai every sentence
@@battlinjoe2592 A better one.The english voice actor is the voice actor if Rigby in regular show. To be honest most of if not all SMT plots could happen in Regular show.
Lol Walter's "Heh, sorry 'bout that! ;)" when he uses Magaon is so trollish. INFINITE POWER! Dekaja then Magaon Yoink, it's not quite infinite :D Shame Navarre couldn't regain his human form and fight YHVH though. I think he deserves it. I mean Dagda can revive the dead so...why not?
@@christopherbravo1813 definitely but it’s kinda more of like a joke rather than something serious. He also may have kinda matured during the bonds ending? I’m not quite sure tbh
@@christopherbravo1813 no I acknowledge that God doesn’t have a physical form and hasn’t done some of the stuff YHVH does just that he’s not necessarily characterized wrong. The reason I said it is unfortunate is that the gameplay of SMT is some of the most fun in rpg’s so to ignore the series because it doesn’t reinforce your beliefs of religion is unfortunate
Yeah. This is probably the most badass franchise ever. Thanks for the videos Omega, though it may delay me from getting the game since....well I already know it all I'm interested in doing an all physical build.
What do you get when you take the image of "YHWH" but leave out the "all-loving" feature He's supposed to have? You get "YHVH", a hollow bundle of branding with self-servingly empty promises, "Old Testament"-style shenanigans dialed up to eleven, and zero defense against direct rejection.
The music for these last two battles gave me goosebumps. Dekaja, Magaon, and Imposing Stance. The three skills that will help you in this fight. And not only that. Having a demon with Phys Drain during his Rampage moments came in clutch for free Smirks.
No. Draws more parallels to the gnostic Yalbadaoth as far as lore goes. Snake body, "creator god" moniker, holier than thou attitude, and YHWH can be another name for Yaolbadaoth.
@@MisterHeromanYHVH is actually how God is referred to in the hebrew Bible. The tetragrammaton (as it is called) isn't related to the Demiurge, though that doesn't change that the SMT God is still very similar.
We reject your design! Our Feng Shui is much better than yours! Seriously though, having two parties like that. That's just so freaking cool. I just can't stress enough how cool that is. And that second phase design is pretty kick ass. :o
Was definitely a surprise, a very welcome one at that though. Samurai Party ftw :p (even though they can't help much with damage till Flynn opens up a weakness on YHVH)
lol wait i just realized something about omega using matador...... odin was missing alot of attacks, so omega replaced him with a guy with no eyes XD (super late to this)
I know you must have had a harder time since you were doing this on the max difficulty but sheesh you got of light on those Infinite Powers. He spamed that almost every other turn for me TwT
Guys, Krishna won. This was exactly His plan. He does not need to defeat mister clean, he just let Nanashi and co do the dirty work, He only had to spurn them a little. Also, Krishna really is God. The proof of this. (in the game) is that he was sliced by the Masakado Blade wielded by a Godslyaer and yet he is still alive and well. trust me, Krishna just love pulling stunts where he apparently dies.
Didn’t Krishna still lose though? His plan was to take the souls and split them among his forces and create a new universe without suffering. The only part of his plan that was a success was YHVH’s defeat.
Yoooooooooooo seeing Walter and Jonathan comeback was nice, for them to be as they once were, it's nice to see them all together, #RipNavarre Also can we all agree that the last fight was just a roasting session against god?
Been wondering ever since i saw your SMT IV original vids (The version where you play as Flynn) does the +X next to a skill mean it's stronger? if so does that also apply to buffs and debuffs?
I couldn't beat this boss unless I put the difficulty on easy. I was tired of him getting random crits with Rampage on his second form and completely wiping me afterwards. lol
Try getting a demon with Phys drain/repel next time you fight YHVH, as YHVH doesn't have Phys Pierce and so Rampage ruins His turns whenever it hits someone with Phys drain/repel.
Flynn could be holding a Refreshing Tune as his accessory which grants Enduring Souls effect. In vanilla SMT4 after beating Fiend Trumpeter, he drops it.
Awakened Power, its a plot related passive that you get when you choose which Neutral Path to take. Considering there is no Severe Dark Spell that you can transfer to the MC in this game (for some reason they are all exclusive), that passive replaced Mudoon once I got it.
Hey Omega, what's your current stat build on Apoc.? And your equipment? Just curious, I've noticed you do ALOT of magic damage, I can only do around 4K with max stats and max debilitate with smirk and weakness. And I'm full magic build
You have to beat him in Twisted Tokyo first. He's the second fiend you fight there. You'll need Qing Niugai x Stonka x Catoblepas x Macabre to fuse him.
