@@edd4946 I actually felt the same way when I first played this game, but listening to the soundtrack over time has led me to absolutely loving it. An acquired taste for me.
every encounter on new areas is a boss I read in a forum this guy talking about that theme "Imagine that every encounter you face, can turn into your own death" there's always that feeling of danger and that's why it fits so well on random encouters
Average RPG party: we survived... But we beat the area boss! TADANO: THOSE are a dime a dozen around here... (Checking his gear) Maybe you should run back home. I'M heading for the boss zone... (DemONICa mask ON) YOU AIN'T CUTTING IT.
@@Ramsey276one If the demonica breaches, Mc will die in seconds. The gravity, preasure, temperature and every posible biometric that can be twisted againdt humans is a danger. Even if some areas look human like as the red light district or the shop mall, the living conditions are no diferent than wandering on the surface of Venus
You stumble upon a silly gnome and a random Japanese man and suddenly all of the Powers of Heaven descend, chanting and warning of simple strokes that will wipe away a wretched existence. I love it
Animes of games always ruin them, glad it didn't happen honestly. Also isn't that basically what Redux is and that is part of the reason I disliked it was because of the making light and fun of realistic situations.
BRO, Just opened this video expecting something random or not big thing, BUT OMG. NOW I WANT SO MUCH TO PLAY THIS GAME THAT TILL 1 HOUR AGO I THOUGT WASN'T BIG DEAL, OMG WHAT A MASTERPIECE OF VIDEO GAME MUSIC
Sometimes, I'm in a mood of this style of music, That first track. I love that kind of vocal style. Good thing it's low pitched whether a male or female vocalized it.
Yup, it did. And hello from the future where the game has already been released. Spoiler, the story got alot better with the added attention to it. I do recommend it. Warning, ontop of that, the difficult has no waned, still sucks to play neutral or law (luckily the new dungeon is good for grinding Amala Labrynth style)
Luza Goh at the time of your comment there was only nocturne on ps2 so unless you mean the Japanese variations I have no idea wtf you were talking about
Why does this game have a song that could be an epic story/final boss theme as the normal battle theme? It honestly makes the bosses feel lame compared to normal demons roaming around the schwarzwelt when the best song in the series is the one for punching dybbuk and pixies in the face
because in shin megami tensei, normal mobs are almost as hard as the bosses, you are NEVER safe, and you WILL die alot randomly to the normal mobs, this is why its like this, and it makes sense, specially in strange journey, cause imo its one of if not the hardest tilte in the main series
Strange journeys ost is definitely not as catchy as persona or as epic and badass like nocturne but it fits the tone so well. You arent a bad ass hybrid Demon, you are a human trying to survive in an alien landscape
All the random encounter music is the best in megaten this is good but it has some stiff competition with hunting suorise from digital devil saga and dds 2 with battle for survival those hit hard
NGL I never felt strongly about this OST but it has grown on me. When I first played I was like "It's cool but I'm not going to go out of my way to listen to it" and here I am now... I guess thinking about the game often cause of how painful Mem Aleph was warmed me up to the soundtrack. I enjoy it quite a bit now.
There's a deeper spirit embedded into the OST. Most themes today the energy of the piece is front focused. You see it, receive it, and can process it right away. This track has all of that energy deeper inside. That's why it grows on you - your soul knows there is something to be found when listening to this soundtrack. And it wants to be found.
This is amazing in its own right, but compared to the absolute bops that are in the rest of the mainline megaten games, this is mid at best. My opinion, don't get mad pls.
