I love this song. I listen to a lot of true crime stories and stuff, and killers/abusers/ etc will always be like "boo hoo, my life was so hard, that's why I do these horrible things, I cant help it." This song is about people who try to avoid responsibility because of their trauma, I'm sure we've all been there, it's a slippery slope, and this song is a good wakeup call.
I was tortured and beaten by my father for most of my young life destroyed me physically and mentally I have ptsd and bipolar and psychosis a lot of shit wrong but I ain't going to take that and become a monster. My monster taught me how not to be. Fuck my dad I hope he rots in an unmarked grave
Shinedown's 'Sound of Madness' is a rock masterpiece! The powerful vocals, intense guitars, and raw emotion make this song unforgettable. It's an anthem that gets your heart racing and leaves you craving more. Thank you, Shinedown, for delivering pure rock energy
You're not a pile of shit. Most people project this song onto other people instead of owning it. That's called "insight" and most don't have it. You are just as worthy as anyone else.
I am so addicted to Shinedown, their songs connect to me and each have a different but powerful meaning. They are one of those bands that just hit you with their songs yet you love the pain. Legends.
The first Shinedown song I ever heard is The Sound Of Madness. It will always be my favorite, but The Crow and The Butterfly is a pretty close second. To any new people, welcome to the Shinedown family! 🙌😀 ~Cali
for some reason hate the crow and the butterfly but this, planet zero, the saints of violence and innuendo, devil, creatures, and attention attention Note: ik most of these songs released 2 to 6 yrs after the comment
I swear I started listening too second chance. I remember the song being on the radio as a little kid. Then I heard it on JJO the radio station this year of 2015. I fell in love with Shinedown. I started listening too a whole lot more. these songs. I became addicted. its a healthy drug.
Used to listen to this song constantly when I was about 13. I always thought it meant that there is no darkest hour. Now I've come to realize he's saying that the darkest hour is real, it just doesn't come when you'd expect it (in the night).
+Cameron Asbury the same for looks did you know the devile actuly was the hansomest man on earth XD not everything that looks nice or prettey or cute is safe XD
I just today decided to start listening to Shinedown, so i asked my friend for good songs, since he's a huge fan. He said this first off. His exact words were "Asking about Sound of Madness is like asking a Queen fan about Bohemian Rhapsody."
I absolutely love Shinedown. They are one of the best rock bands ever and I love the chorus and when its goes you need a shotgun blast a kick in the ass. It's great. This is my favorite album they have made.
Shinedown rocks and you need to see them live they put on one of the best shows. Mind blowing! This will be my fourth time seeing them. Can’t wait always a great show! Amazing voice Brent is outstanding with his vocals. Sk many good songs. But sound of madness is my favorite and they always end the show with this song. ❤ thanks Shinedown
Dude sleeps with a sword, they make these neat things called 1911s that are real nice. Hah just kidding but that sword ain't gonna do a lot when there's a gun thrown in between you and your person of interest/target individual! Not being a keyboard genius just saying
Thanks for the tip, I'll start sleeping with a gun now. . . let's see. . . how do I turn the safety off. . . Lol! But swords can be effective, too. Take Deadpool for example. . . Btw, I'm a gal
@@ABrokenCowboy little late but everyone i asked to listen to this song either really liked it or thought it was okay... no ones just straight up not liked it. Probably trolls lol
yeah I get it you're an outcast, always under attack, coming in last, bringing up the past, no one owes you anything! This is Madness! Madness? THIS. IS. SHINEDOWN!!!!!
This song makes me wanna eat ghost peppers while wearing juggernaut armor, holding a minigun in a crowded area of heavy armed Norh Koreans, going berserk with the minigun. (I'm the one going berserk.)
Love Shinedown but I relate to this one the most because I am Bi-polar and my family sings it to me if they think I haven't taken my medicine that day!
I am FINALLY gonna see these masters of their craft live in concert in less than 3 months! Cannot wait for this jewel to blast the arena!!!!!!! I am stoked as hell!
this song sounds like a country song but turned into a rock song, it awesome! for all those people that love rock and classic rock like me, there is a restaurant called the Hard Rock Cafe and they constantly rock music and have amazing food!!
+Fun With Us Kids Gaming it sounds kind of country cause the lead singer and a few others (forgive me for not knowing, fellow Shinedown fans) are from Kentucky
*I randomly googled "sound of madness" because I just felt like it, and here there appeared on of the few songs I enjoy because of its lyrics, not melody.*
i think he says "You think that by crying to me... LOOKING so sorry that im gonna believe....." He does not say Feeling. But is a very goog song with great lyrics. Thanks for uploading it.
i wish they could have that match in the first place. they tried but the WWE doctors said mick foley was unfit to fight. that would have been the match of the century.
@@TheEldestSoulDrinker Bro, I have done a lot of cringy shit during this time. That was Edgy 14 year old me. Now I'm 19 and Joining the National Gaurd. And seeing these old comments just kind of makes me hate myself more.
Aww no, you were just growing up like all of us do, don’t sweat it. I’m sure you’re a wonderful young man. Just don’t pretend to be deaf when you hear the good news that Jesus Christ died for your sins, so you could have eternal life.We all need to get right with The Creator. The Bible is true from cover to cover. Stay cool man
