Honestly this is more like what healthy masculinity looks like, men being so comfortable with their identities that they can express their affection for their friends and even make jokes (like girls do) with each other and even expressing themselves with their fashion and their looks. Wouldn't that be great?
Yes. I joke with my girls all the time that I'd marry them or give them children in a heartbeat. I'm asexual, most of them are straight, but we still joke like that. I mean it's healthy in a way, because you love these people so much you could marry them, and it shows that you're comfortable to do so. I wish boys would feel more comfortable with that.
Being affectionate and being vocal about their feelings/how attractive another female is, is normal among women! However with men not so much. I love that these guys just go with it. It’s how it should be. You shouldn’t have to pretend other men are not attractive to conform to some cultural norm!
It is both a blessing and a curse. Korea is so heteronormative that no matter how touchy guys get, it’s still assumed they are straight. But actual LGBT people who come out are often faced with apprehension and hostility

I think SHINee is one of the only groups in Korea were toxic masculinity is practically nonexistent, i love that about them. The fact that i can't even listen to Playboy without having gay thoughts! Also, i approve Prism playing in the back.
@@marchymeow4584 Taemin has mentioned that because everyone including men saw him very feminine, he wanted to be more manly. But I think being in SHINee where Onew is a sensitive listener, Jjong is a romantic crybaby who encouraged men to cry more, Minho readily showed affection to men, and Key didn't care about gendered clothing really helped him come to terms with being more feminine once he reached solo songs like MOVE. Whereas debuting in EXO, we would never know how he would develop since it's a more traditionally male group.

In a recent episode of Knowing Brothers, Minho goes on a fiery, full blown rant to Key about Key's seeming total disinterest when Minho returned from the military. Minho goes, "What are you going to do about my broken heart??? TELL ME NOW!" Then later on in the show, one of the game challenges was, "Do something dangerous." Key kneels down and "proposes" to Taemin. Taemin smiles slowly, Onew is laughing his head off and Minho just *stares*. Aight, Imma head myself out and look for my missing marbles.🤣🤣🤣 Also on one of their variety shows, Minho "dazzles" their Noona by throwing confetti. Jonghyun grabs Minho by the collar and demands, "You want to steal not just Noona's heart BUT MINE AS WELL??? 😅😅😅
It's really comforting to me that all the members are so confident in their sexuality and show no bias whatsoever. You can't really find a lot of groups like that in kpop. I love them all so much

As a lesbian... I'm often doubted and not accepted in my family and the religious environment I grew up in but can I just give Jonghyun some appreciation for this? Aside from the questionable lyrics 😂😂 he's always said such comforting words towards people who are "different" and it really helped me, made me feel validated and not so alone. Jonghyun's words and actions felt like a warm hug and I just really wanna say thank you for that, so THANK YOU!!

This is such a fun video -- so upbeat and heartwarming. How full of life and sex appeal was Jonghyun?? He was magical. They all are. But Jonghyun had a wattage that was blinding.

@@v.6433 Yeah well it's very much influenced by me being bisexual 😅 Sometimes he gives me the same things I would do or say and that's probably why I see him more in the middle 😅 But like I'm fine with whatever sexual orientation they have cuz I love them from the bottom of my heart. I am just very very scared that many kpop idols who are part of the LGBTQ will never be able to come out as it would ruin them in South Korea so much :( Like for example Ten from WayV/NCT who just gives off so many hints about not being straight - for example wherever he is talking about his ideal type or future relationship he never says "The girl I would date..." He says "The person I would love..." It's always person or significant other never girl which is like a big hint that people from LGBTQ community use when they are worried to come out but just don't want to label themselves as straight... I just want all the kpop artists that I love to be happy and live the life they want but I'm worried that they Will not be able to do so.

It always baffles me how these guys still have some LGBTq-phobic fans or fans who are in super hetero-protection mode for these guys who literally *insert part 1 and 2 of these videos*... like... that is not all just jokes and fanservice....
