SM know what they are doing with their training. Their artists are all multi-talented and they have the best main/lead vocalists and dancers in their industry. Their rappers are not as good, but after seeing Mark and Taeyong of NCT, I can see a huuuuuuuge improvement!
I used to hate half asses rap from SM group. Seems SM want to improve their rap section . Instead Taeyong and Mark , NCT still has many good rappers ( which still improve evey smsñlike Jeno, Lucas and Yangyang.
And it's really heartwarming how SHINee hyungs have always given their ultimate support for Taemin. Guiding, encouraging and fasilitating Taemin's thirst for learning from 0 to hero. In vice versa, Taemin also adores his hyungs a lot. I just love this group to the core :""""")
Taemin's growth trajectory is honestly one of the most impressive I've seen in k-pop. He began as just a decent dancer, and just look at him now! He can choreograph and write his own songs + he has steady, clean, beautiful vocals that he carries off while doing his complex choreo.
If Taemin was able to go that far while working hard and believing it, another so-called "talentless" idol can do as much (especially with good training like in SM). So please guys let's never bash idols for not being enough, but encourage them to become more.
NCT's grass i understand your point n i'm not one of those jerks who loves to bash an idol but taemin become great as today not just because of *hard work*. Do you know when SHINee debut taemin called as tone deaf? Many mocked him but he is strong willed, passionate, hard work n has a big dream that's why over year he proved to them that he is not just a dancer but also a singer. And when he's debut as soloist many doubt him even many Shawols also said he is not decent to be the first one to debut as solo but again he proved to us he's worth that achievement n then become great as today. And I don't know how you define hard work, but for me, hard work is something you can get to only with passion, determination, and many other factors. Anybody can succeed if they put their heart and mind to it. Of course, nobody is Taemin, so maybe none will be ever able to reach his level or improve as much as he did, but everybody is able to go from a simple face to a high tier idol if they put their all to it. Your comment almost sounds like you are saying nobody can do what he did. I honestly don't get your point but it's good to see people acknowledging all his efforts. It would be even better if those people didn't need to make others seem insignificant in order to send their message.

Yeah Taemin is lucky to have members who looked after him like a precious brother but that doesn't mean that one cannot achieve something if they are alone. You know in fact I can also say that Taemin is under SM which provides the best training which is another reason why he improved so much so fast, but all these details aren't part of my point at all. My only point was to say don't bash an idol for not being enough, encourage them to become more. Side stuff like Taemin has had the chance of having all SHINee and SM family by his Side, his strong personality and quality training are real, but it has nothing to do with my point. I'm not saying become Taemin 2.0, just become a more complete idol.
Also where did I point out only hard work? I said working hard and believing it. This sentence can mean various things. Like working hard to stay strong, happy and only then improve his skills. Believing it as in never giving up, because there are people there for him and even if there wasn't, as long as he is the one believing it, he will succeed. You really got my message wrong. Hard work isn't just "okay I'll train 24/7 and that will make me the best".
I'm happy, that Taemin got so perfect colleagues and friends. As Taemin's huge fan, I have to thank to Jonghyun for his big support in his beginnings, I hope, that he is happy up there and finally can rest from his sufferings :( I hope, that the people, who caused Jonghyun the pain, will suffer... People are beasts...

I love how you can see the inspiration of Michael Jackson in his style of performance, his stage outfits, his movements. It goes to show how influence can be spread around the world. Taemin is quite worthy of the title of "K-pop's Michael Jackson".

For me, he is the number one idol who improved immensely since debut. Lee Taemin was my first ultimate bias, and SHINee was the only group whose ballads I crazily obsessed over. Back in 7th grade I couldn't even fall asleep if SHINee's sad songs weren't playing in the background. Now years later, even though SHINee and Taemin are no longer my ultimates in Kpop, I still hold an incredible amount of love and respect for each SHINee member, especially Taemin because he was only a kid at debut and he has transformed into such a fascinating soloist. No wonder why he is now a role model for many young Kpop idols. It makes me very excited to think about what the future holds for NCT members like WinWin and Jisung. Their amazing dance skills remind me of Taemin and I know that if Taemin was able to improve himself through hard work and never giving up on his dream then others can achieve that goal too if they share the same mindset. Let's support all Kpop idols and never bash anyone because each and every Kpop idol has worked immensely hard to get to where they are today. Fighting~~~!! ^.^

hmmm his talent is more dancing and i can understand why people might have called him tone deaf if comparing him to others at the time, but he worked pretty damn hard so that's respectable cuz he's improved a lot
i am by no means a vocal expert or anything like that.. to me Taemin was able to cover Jonghyun's lines is because they're in a same category (made by me) where in their voices vibrates in my ear for a long time, husky and emotional. same as minho but his is husky and manly. while key and onew belongs to the 'clean' category where in their voices are sharp, clean and pierces your ears with a beautiful melody. i'm so proud how they've all improved over time especially our baby cheese 😭
