I saw this live 3 years ago. I remember this vid, back when it had almost no views and everyone was thankful to nevake for uploading so much great stuff. This match is one of the best and most memorable to me. I feel kinda sad seeing how much less SC2 is compared to Brood War. SC1 is far better entertainment in every way possible - the scale of the battles, all the small gimmick strategies, the animations - everything. And the Koreans had it nailed down perfectly too. I miss BW as it was.
THE MOST BRUTAL, SCRAPPIEST STARCRAFT GAME. EVERRRRR !!!!!!!!!! played by Stork unbelievable gg, okay so I’ve got to be honest I’ve been watching old Starcraft games for the past year now & I haven’t given much credit or attention to stork, I’ve watched him play a couple of games here & there, especially with Bisu, but now I know why, & understand why, people have had so much respect for him these days, that was amazing.
O my freaking god! what a game! To titans clashing together in what must be one of the closest games ever. So happy for the winner. He truly is a hero.
This will never happen in SC2 game, a player sweating like JaeDong did in this match, after a 40 min game, with probably 400apm's constantly. This is what made this game so tough to play. Now this sad version of SC2 makes the game really easier, end even koreans with 250 apm's get to be real good it. When youll see a player sweating his ass off in SC2, then you could say that SC2 is as good as SC1! GG JaeDong !
I love watching Jaedong vs. Stork. The games are all great quality and fun to watch. Reminds me of the WCG 2009 finals, though Stork must feel really good now after beating his rival.
one of the main reasons why sc2 is no match to sc in terms of strategy and balance is because Bill Roper who was the head programmer for sc left Blizzard North a loooooooong time ago
Perfectly executed game by Stork. "stork just defended too well, never really attacked" He played from the very start of the game around this going 30+ minutes with a 50/50 map split. To win a long game on this map, Zerg probably needs to get 6 bases to Protosses 5, and it's a relatively easy map to split in half, even in PvZ. Even though Jaedong kills the Nexus at 12, Stork keeps long distance mining and that continues to be enough to outlast Jaedong. Few could dare plan around lasting 30+ minutes against Jaedong for a delay victory, but Stork won that 80+ minute game against GGPlay on Andromeda so this was almost fast food for him.
damn this match is monstrous, maybe the largest in terms of scale and number of simultaneous battles all around map, drops inside enemy base, psi storms and dark swarms. just wow.
This is crazy! One of the best pvz ever. And damn stork just retired. Watching this makes me sad. I knew he was good and he is good to this day making ASLs but I didn't realize until watching this game just how GOSU stork was... have a happy retirement stork!
Absurdly epic. If I was Jaedong I'd have nightmares about psy storms for months after this match... That drop that didnt quite kill the 12 o clock was the turning point, surprised Jaedong didnt attack back up there for a while after the drop almost did it.
i highly encourage all people watching this match to watch it from start to finish. this is one epic SHIT!!!!!111 ill be seeing this match in their top 10's perhaps. im so happy for the winner, and lots of credits for the unfortunate one.
I was actually one of the best in America when the WCG first started. But I didn't have a job so I couldn't travel to the various locations where the prelims were held.
Still wondering why he didn’t use Zerg Queen. It could snipe the High Templars and use the Ensnare to good effect when combined with Dark Swarm from the Defilers.
You can't even compare both Jaedongs. In 2010 Jaedong was the best player in the world after Flash and Bisu. Now he is just old. Huge respect for him still fighting but, it's time to let go honestly.
@@CheeKiatTeo Indeed. Jaedong had the best ZvP and almost every Protoss struggles at the matchup because of the huge level of micro required (storms, use of reavers, etc) but Bisu has a winning record vs Jaedong and Stork is tied with Jaedong. That's how good they were. I wouldn't find it hard to be a JD fan honestly.
@@CheeKiatTeo Take a look at the finals of WCG 2009 casted by Tastosis back in the day. Jaedong 2-1 Stork. Amazing series and JD came out on top. If Stork hadn't lost so many finals in his career he would have been better than Flash even. He just was The King of Silver.
*spoilers* Amazing game by stork. JD definitely underestimated stork after stork made sooooo many mistakes (ling run by, zealots getting picked off, losing corsair, losing two early battles) Stork was on his 4th game that night so of course he's all warmed up (he even said so in the post game interview) so once game got to management, he started catching up. Pimpest moment goes not only to his 8zealot drop, but to his EXPANDING as well. JD was so distracted he didnt kill it in time.
incredible game pressure could be seen in God as sweat that sweat would the game so difficult for 2, but play like the big q is excellent without any more words I was impressed.
