Mr. Shinji Suzuki and his son Hiroaki Suzuki showed their Bonsai skills styling this large Juniper Bonsai. The demonstration took place at the Crespi Cup in Italy. www.crespibonsai.com www.bonsaiempire.com
I cannot imagine the knowledge Hiroaki Suzuki must have gathered when his father is Shinji and his master/teacher is Kimura, both have won the most prestigious awards in bonsai. Thanks, Bonsai Empire for posting.
I have mold (white furry kind) growing on the soil of one of my juniper bonsai trees. I water every other day usually, do I have to repot the tree or was removing the mold sufficient?.
First off, I woulda started with brushing up the live vein, and that additional Shari looked rushed. Also would have redefined the padding , leaving the top fuller , and separating pads further down. Idk it’s a outstanding tree to begin with , and I feel like it was just for entertainment. Great masters and highly respected, but I’m not impressed w the work.
First of all: I realy respect these great master. But... in my opinion... I can’t agree with the change of the front. The son tree cut the line of the parent tree... The parent nebari is flat... The apex slide back away instead of lean thoward the observer... even with the new inclination. My two cent.🙏
Poor tree you can tell what the trees thinking aaaaah save me he peeling off my skin and cut my lovely hair down hehe trees feels things when your cutting them
