I love doing these kinds of cinematic videos, even if they don't seem to do particularly well. When I get the chance I'll try and produce a 20 minute version around Tokyo! You've really improved your cinematography and editing skills over the last couple of years. I find myself enjoying your content more and more, and I don't think I have ever thought your videos have become stale in the slightest. It really is a delight to watch your videos every time.

One of my favourite parts of following you as a creator is seeing your skills in cinematography develop. It’s like seeing an artists art improve while reading through their comic.

After watching this video one thought came to my mind: "One day Chris will be known as movie director (like Takeshi Kitano) and I will be able to brag about being on the Abroad journey from the start, not only after Chris became extremely famous". Many people in comments mentioned some kind of short movie. What exactly are they talking about, Chris? I listen to your podcasts as well, so I thought it will be something similar to what Rambalac does (as you've talked about him recently), but it seems like it's something different.

This looks like a teaser trailer to some movie starring your typical quiet, introverted protagonist with a lot of personal weight being thrown into the vast metropolis that is Tokyo just having the most bizzare night possible getting lost in the city but in the end realizes that the city actually found him.

I seriously want you to make an actual Blade Runner-esque short film some day, this really shows how much I’d like one!

I was supposed to be visiting Japan this week. Instead, Chris provides the channels for me to binge-watch his amazing content about life in Japan. I'm dying to get back to Asia, including Japan, once it looks like we, Americans, can safely and responsibly travel overseas again. Evaluating the COVID-19 situation here just in Texas alone, that may be a while.

And of of the sudden a group of men in suits appear.......Kiryu-san!!!! Shirts and jackets come off to reveal full body tattoos and the most epic fist fight ensues.

Finally got back from my trip to enjoy this little masterpiece in it's 4K glory! Looking rather majestic and debonair with the long hair and beard Chris ;) Looking forward to what's next :D

The opening almost felt like I was teleporting forward to where I needed/wanted to be. I'm glad I had my headphones on while watching because I was able to appreciate the music better. I would definitely enjoy a longer video of this if you ever make one.

Would you ever consider making a video with Liam Wong? You could document a night of shooting, while discussing what Tokyo means for the two of you.
