Just did my first mortar and pestles, yours look really good with the banding. Nice birdbaths too I did some too this summer. Hard for me to imagine throwing a pedestal and the pestle but easy finally in the end. Hope your enjoying cooler, warm sunny fall days.
You know you got us holding our breath, on the edge of our seats with each firing. Your right about the reduction on the shino, too much is too much. You need the breaks, flashes, looks good over the banding and the specked clay helps too. Glad to see the bath come out good and especially nice mortar and petals.
Beautiful bird bath! Design, texture... your shino gives real nice results in your kiln. Despite the wind it was very successful! Daughter & dogs will be delighted!
All looking good Leigh. Shino came out well. That speckled clay is nice, however the school clay looks good as well. Looks like you have a regular customer to use Leigh's Religious Relics. Future material for Time Team yr.2322. Cheers...Freddie
Leigh Looking good. I made a super small minne JUG today. its the first time sense the issue in February. it only took 3 tries, its heck having brain bleeds.
