Her character is so tragic, busy developing poisons and treatment for the forces while building up rage inside for the loss of her sister, neglecting her strength as slayer (the weakest) and any chance of happiness with Giyu or anyone else as her only goal is to destroy Douma no matter what.

Indeed Shinobu is arguably one of the most beloved Hashiras due to her role as the corps' healer and her sweet facade. While only a few could tell she's hiding intense rage in her, that never stopped her from being kind and gentle or harsh when necessary. She's like a mother figure to some of the members (ie Inosuke) too. God she deserves so much better 😢

That does not mean that they do not have feelings for each other. Giyu is Shonobu’s closest friend among the Hashira, and vice versa. We’ll never know whether or not she loves Giyu, and if he feels the same for her, but most Demon Slayer fans seem to think there is more than just friendship between those two.

@@yllunamoonlight5629 how do you think people in the series handle emotions and relationships. They're are either numb or overdramatic, or just straight up unhealthily, there is no in between. You can make this case with about every character in the series. Enosukay, koano, giyuu, Mitsuri, sanemi, and many more. These are all mixtures of sense of Duty, trauma, personality, and experiences. Knowing the personalities of the two and without seeing their interactions could you ever see them blushing or doing any sort of thing, even when they do have those feelings.
