If you attempt dyeing hair like that again, you should do ryt dyemoor versus painting in the dye. This is amazing for a first try

This is amazing for your first custom doll. My first, I wasn't able to finish because I couldn't figure out the hair. I was trying to do the Great Fairy from the Legend of Zelda. I want to get back to it, but some of the paint has chipped off her face. I am not sure what to do about it.
