Thanks for doing these guides papa. I was able to get shiny arceus, darkrai, and ho oh from them (gave up on shaymin). I think I have all the shinies I care about outside of aegislash, but I'll just breed that one.

You can't RNG VC Celebi, but you can use glitches to turn it shiny. Look up the Coin Case Glitch.

Hey, I just wanted to say thanks for aiding shiny hunting for many people without demanding cheating or risking our consoles. I still think RNG shiny Pokemon are not perfectly legit (in my opinion they are about an 80 percent) compared to those that appeared by nature or on the 8000 resets, but still I'm proud I get shiniest without cheating. Hurray!

For Heatran.. I was able to get my initial seed WITH Barry there. I just set NPC's to 1 and Pokemon Npc's to 1.. then I reidentified before the Heatran room with 16 Npc's and 1 pokemon NPC. I did the timeline and got my shiny Heatran. I did have to change outfits so I could see my eye better.. and I didnt get the whole eye.. just the top part where it would blink.

move compatibility is actually best done on showdown. Under teambuilder, you select BDSP OU and filter using the moves. The only thing it doesn't filter is illegal EM combinations such as Boomburst chatot which you only know is illegal once you click validate

Is it possible to manipulate rng in Pokémon Go? There is no way to fix IV’s in that game, so manipulation would be huge.

I thought honey was only usable for honey tree hunting - is that not correct? Or does trying to use it in the wild somehow force the next frame to spawn the pokemon you see in the seed? I haven't been able to find a single other guide that talks about using honey to help rng wild encounters, every outlet seems to only be talking about it being useful for honey trees specifically.

Yeah I think gen 6 added the functionality to honey where it became the equivalent of using sweet scent. The original purpose was honey trees, but yeah it's very helpful for BDSP RNG manipulation.

@ It seems then that, if you find the pokemon that you're hunting for and in a noise-less area as far as NPC blinks, that wild hunting is actually maybe easier and more reliable than trying to get the starter or some of the legendaries as far as having to use timelines and flow timers etc. It feels like if I can find my seed, and the pokemon I'm targeting, its just a matter of hitting honey 1 frame early, and seems pretty fool proof. Is that the take away? Or is there more nuance?

As a guy who is on attempt 6094 of soft resetting for Shaymin, I wish I was smart enough to set up your blink RNG on my Mac. I’ve tried already, but like I said, I got the big dumb

Yeah there is. But you only need TID\SID for eggs in this game. lincoln-lm.github.io/JS-Finder/Gen8/G8-ID-Converter/

@ ill happily test it I've done all the ramanas park ones and so many for breeding so I'm not hopeless about it With what you said though are all the trees gna do the same pokemon it's just a case of needing a tree with no npcs?

You'd have to check PokeFinder to see if there's even an option to do trees. I'm not sure if it's in there or not. If it is, then you should be able to predict and identify the Nature/IVs of the tree mons.

Throughout my years of research for shiny hunting, I came to the conclusion that high level koffing/weezing in later gens is the most difficult if you want to have it in some special ball. Sure, you can always quick ball a koffing for a guaranteed catch, but where's the fun in that? lol Jellicent with Damp (HA) and taunt for the memento also work in SWSH. Even still you're still at a 50% chance that it has neutralizing gas.
