@@f1parcferme I disagree, if you have ever been a strong YT personality. Then you would know you can't ignore comments completely, some of it will get to you. Especially, if it blows up and becomes big. That is what drives those jerks to do it in the first place. Attention, it is just better to ignore them and not give them any ground whatsoever. That is why I was showing him support to ignore them.

All ocean Activities relate to each other !!! I am a Scuba Instructor, but also a Skipper. Every Ocean Vessel has the same issues related to Gear, navigation, Equipment, Propulsion ... Many Superyachts are "Ships" ... Everyone in the ocean business needs to be aware of all ocean activities and be aware how all systems work and integrate !!! Lessons learned in any ocean activity are lessons for all of us engaged in Ocean Activities !!!

In New York, the situation was totally different. The ship lost propulsion shortly after leaving it's berth while being escorted by tugs in the Kill Van Kull channel. Additional tugs came to assist, and they moved the ship several miles to the anchorage in the upper harbor, north of the Verrazzano Bridge until repairs were completed.

They are only removing the containers to be able to get to the wreckage and ultimately remove the boat from the area. Important note is that those containers are built and designed to moved from a ship in minutes by a specialty lifting system at Ports. It is slow because they have to strap up each container slowly to move off the Dali by a crane.

It is hard to ignore the trolling behavior of those who believe that to speak publicly, you need to be 100% correct, 100% of the time. What might be considered “required” is that you be honest, forthright, humble and have a high sense of integrity. I’m not sure I’ve ever heard you “proclaim” anything without qualification, or without a thorough analysis based on existing information and conditions. You are one of the few whose integrity is, in my view, superb. If you ever say anything that turns out to be incorrect, I believe it would never be for sensational reasons, or with ulterior motives, or ignorant arrogance. And I applaud you for that. 😊👍👍

As I've said multiple times but maybe not in the comments here, some people are miserable and their goal is to make everyone else miserable. I started liking your channel years ago because you were very knowledgeable about yachting and you didn't put out information without believing it to be true. On the rare occassions you post something incorrect, you openly post a correction. Your reports are better reporting than most "news channels". I've looked at several professional maritime channels about the MV Dali incident. They sometimes give more info but often have less, but I haven't seen any discrepancies in their reports verses yours. Keep up the great work.

The combined gross weight of a US semi truck is 80,000 lbs, or 40 tons. When you subtract the weight of the container, the trailer it rides on, and the tractor, they can carry 45,500lbs (a little over 20,000 kilograms). Train only ones can carry more, but they’d be overweight if you loaded them on trucks. You do NOT want to go overweight on US highways. The fines are pretty expensive.

Maybe it is not the main content of this channel, but those who don't like this are not forced to watch it! For those people saying 'oh they only need to move a few containers from the front, then they can slide the ship out' - there are several hundred (thousand?) tons of concrete and steel from the bridge on the front of the ship, as can clearly be seen. The work to remove that and get the ship out needs careful planning and lots of experts in various fields need to give input. I'm not a shipping expert but I worked in Project Management for many years, so I know how much work an outwardly 'simple task' can take.
