Interesting work. I have been experimenting with Danish oil instead of shellac. The oil gives that 1960s Danish furniture finish.

oils are good, they do have drawbacks though

Hi, Looking great so far. On the strength of your review I have just ordered this as my first wooden ship model. I used to build and fly balsa RC planes back in the 1990s so hope that experience and your videos series will help me be successful. Best wishes.
