SHIP SPOTTING ON THE RIVER THAMES AT GRAVESEND AND TILBURY

Yes - Moon Sand is definitely smaller than some of the other yachts that have been on the Thames recently. This was filmed from the river wall path by the fort as you say. If you pass the pub and walk for a short while, there is a section of the path near some stairs where the path is wider so it is more convenient for filming. I am not sure whether the Gravesend or Tilbury side is better for filming. There is more on the Gravesend side (toilets, etc) but you have to pay to go over on the ferry. The only toilet on the Tilbury side as far as I know is in the pub.

@@ThamesShips The square with the stairs is where I go to film when I do come down, plenty of room for people to pass.

@@ThamesShips and if you need to relieve yourself make sure No1 is around and go behind the sloping walls by the steps or walk down to where there is a small gap to walk through where cyclists have to get off 🙂
