Please rethink Mexico. I live in the states and there are so many really bad stories about people traveling in vans to Mexico and I would hate for you to experience any of them. It's very risky. At a minimum, don't even consider it unless you travel with a good size group in multiple vehicles.

Hey Mary, Thank you for messaging I really appriciate it - we are planning on going to Baja, perhaps I should have explained a bit better we won't be exploring over Mexico but heading down to Baja where there is a big vanlife community, we have watched many videos and spoken to people doing the same journey and it seems as long as we keep driving after crossing the border, we should be good :) x

Here’s a story to illustrate my concern. It’s very common for the US Government to issue travel advisory warnings about travel to Mexico because of violence targeted at NA and Western European travelers. It’s not a small thing. Lots of violence and the police in Mexico are not like the police you’re used to. At least be aware and plan according to your own risk tolerance. Safety in numbers though, for sure.

We’re currently in eastern Canada and leaving for the US soon but next year we will be entering via the west and then driving across from west to east before we head back to England, very excited to explore BC ❤️🇨🇦

I look forward to having you stay here ❤. I'm feeling sad today as I sold my van and watched the new owners drive off with it this afternoon. I miss mine too, but having said that I wouldn't be living on my own land in a tiny home if I didn't buy it to begin with. I ended up here because of my journey in that van. ❤
