@@TyraTheCreative That's amazing. When you went up the escalator, I was like "Girl, where is your cart? Did you send it up an elevator by itself?" haha
Thank you for theses videos. I started Friday and I love it. I usually follow up with a text after delivery and tell them to stay safe and healthy during this time! 🤗
You are the greatest! Been doing Doordash for a year. Since new ownership my earnings are half. Time to try something new. I have been signed up for Shipt a couple of months. Time to get started. Thankyou for your excellent tutorial!
I also wanted to add that the only way that you will receive orders from your "member matches" is to be on the schedule. That's where you make the real money with Shipt because you have built a relationship with the member. With a member match, those orders come to you first and you get the right to first refusal before it goes through the order offer process and then fall to metro if nobody wanted it
@@TyraTheCreative Being on a schedule is the only way Shipt knows how many shoppers are available and determine if more order windows can be opened for the members. This is why sometimes members can't place an order immediately. It's because there aren't any more order windows open because the shoppers aren't available.
I tried Shipt recently and I’m addicted now. There’s nothing like sitting at home in your pajamas and have someone bring you your deliveries. I might never leave home again.
This is such a wonderful busy, when you think on the time it takes and the hustle and bustle to and from the stores! It's a great thing to have a trustworthy person to get those things to you. Some people doesn't know what it takes to satisfy them with there request. Happy Shipt
I wish we had orders like that here in Atlanta! I am lucky to get 1 per hour. 2 is a big bonus. I’m only making $15-$20/hour which I thought was pretty good for a side hustle lol.
Oh wow! Sometimes its slow here as well, I recorded that video at the beginning of the pandemic! So, thats why there were 1,000 orders! its not that much anymore! lol and yes! $15-20/hour is good for a side hustle! lol
You are soooo welcome! And yay!! Have fun shopping out there in Ohio! Be sure to join the Ohio shipt shopper groups to stay up to-date with things going on in your area!
I'm not on shipt but I'm on instacart I don't make any substitutions without customer approval. If an item is out of stock I will message an alternative with a photo and wait for there response. If they don't respond it gets refunded. When I used to use my best judgment and made alternatives two things happened often. One they dinged my rating and second they claimed wrong item and got it free. With shipt and instacart your ratings are everything. My trick which sadly won't work with shipt is I just take the big tippers only and that keeps my rating high , I make more money and I rarely get any damaged or missing item claims and sure don't get non delivery claims. I also make 3 to 500 every full day I work 🙃
This was so helpful !! Do you normally shop grocery items first ? I’m wondering about all those frozen items that you shopped first before the home goods and then delivered last !
No, I normally shop frozen last! But I got those items first because we were at the very beginning of covid and the freezers and refrigerators were emptying out quick! So I wanted to make sure I was able to get majority of the list!
My third comment. I subscribed to your channel. I tip Uber Eats about 20% with a minimum tip of $ 5. All they do is pick up the order. Shipt shoppers do so much more. Am I overtipping Uber. What do you consider a good tip on a $ 40 order, about 10 foods items, and a 3 mile delivery?
Hi. I work for Shipt as well as DoorDash. I think that $5 is a good tip for Uber Eats and $10 is a decent tip for Shipt-- for most orders anyway. Some orders are really big and those should have bigger tips. Also if you live in an apt or somewhere difficult to get to for the delivery, the tip should be slighter higher (carrying multiple grocery bags up flights of stairs ain't fun lol). Thank you for inquiring about this. We really do put up with a lot to bring our customers their items. Traffic, unpleasant store employees, long lines, crowded aisles, inclement weather-- A LOT😂 and most of us are nice and do it with no problem because we enjoy helping people like you🙃thanks again for thinking of us. Hope this helps. Have a good one🙂
Dear fellow shoper I just use the target app and shop faster put all the items the customer wants in my cart 🙃 if I have 2 orders I will spit them in half by adding a item I want out of target 😀 to tell myself where one order ends
My first 2 orders on app I got zero tips. It was very disheartening, but not giving up. I do food delivery mostly but it'd be nice to make money on this too.
I'm not sure about the plastic rules but I'm sure that the customer wants you to put their soft skin fruits and vegetables in a bag not just in the car where there are germs or chemicals that were sprayed on the cart.
Aww man shopping at target looks so difficult considering how big it is (and the household part too) Dx but you handled it so well! You are amazing thanks so much for this video it was so helpful! I’ve only been shopping for Instacart but currently am in review for Shipt. (:
Thank you 🤗its honestly not that bad, the app tells you where most items are located, (for target) and I follow that! good luck to you! i've heard a lot of people like shipt way more, but I've never tried instacart!
Do you have to deliver it directly to the customer or do you leave in at their door? Really wondering how that part works because im starting soon and not sure what to do in that part help!
It depends on the situation. Some people will say leave them at the door, but others will meet you at the door, but you do not have to go in anyone’s house. Good luck to you! 😇
Hi! I have just recently signed up and received my welcome package. I am watching these videos as prep before I do my first order! I am wondering why you went to the service desk with your order? Is that something you have to do with each order? Thanks!
Hiiii! Thats super exciting! So, you go to the service desk when you have a prepaid order at Target. They will scan the barcode that will be in the shipt app and check your cart before you bag everything and leave. :)
Just keep in mind that all of the orders that are in the open Metro our orders that nobody else wanted that was on the schedule. You are getting the bottom of the barrel orders. The best orders are those offered to you. You are seeing the orders that experienced shoppers passed over for some reason or another.
@@TyraTheCreative we are saying the same thing. These are orders somebody else didn't want. And the worst part is sometimes the delivery windows in the metro will move and the member is unaware. So you think you did a great job delivering on time, but the moment wrecks your rating and you are in the penalty box for the next 50 orders. The difference between a 5.0 rating and 4.9 rating can cost me about $300 a week in the orders I receive. Metros are too risky. If I was full time, I'm sure the cost would be even more.
I know this is made 3 years ago, but like to say awesome video and I’m thinking of signing up on shipt for a backup. I just have a question does it show a picture of the items your shopping for? And do you leave it on the doorstep and knock and leave?
Thank you! I wish you luck on your shipt journey! Yes, they do show you photos! and yes, you can leave it at the door! especially if you're uncomfortable going inside. Some people (mainly elderly) will request your help, in those situations, I would help!
My first shipt order yesterday had me getting 8 18 pks plastic hangers...lol...target manager asked me if I left any...I said I almost took all of them...lol
I did my 1st Shipt shopping trip today. It was at Target and was 4 items so I thought that would be a great first order! I did my welcome text (to start order) and asked if there was anything else they needed. She asked me to add 2 items. I had to figure that out but think I did it right and went to check out. (Only 1 item was added, And I had to substitute one) It was a prepaid order so I went to customer service to have the check me out and it wouldn't let me get the item I added!.It said the customer cancelled it, but she didn't because we were talking through text. So I called customer support and that was a horrible experience. They left me on hold forever and then came back and told me there isn't anything they could do and we couldn't deliver that item. They claimed it was an issue with Target.com but I saw some other shoppers saying they had the same issue with Target. Is that true? What did I possibly do wrong?
Oh wow. Yea that's bad. lol My first shop went horribly wrong as well. My son does instacart and his first shop was the shop from hell lol. You are not alone lol. The good thing is-- you can only get better😉I hope by this point you've almost mastered it, and if not- you'll get there!! 🤗🤗🤗
How long did it take for your background to go through during this pandmic. Im so ready to get started but my background is taking forever forever and I understand that it might take long but I didnt think it will take this long. Theres nothing on my background at that🤦🤦🤦😭😭🤷🤷
@@TyraTheCreative it say "complete" and then it says "consider" so im not sure. I'll contact Shipt again and see what they say. Thanks for the replying back so quickly I appreciate it. Stay safe
If the order says prepaid, yes you go to customer service. If it is not a pre-pay order you will check out in the regular checkout lane using your shipped card. It’s pretty easy. If your order is prepaid, when you go to customer service they will simply look at your basket and when you press check out on your app it will pull up a barcode and they scan it and that’s it.
@@TyraTheCreative thank you! If it’s not prepaid, do you still scan everything as you go or is that just doubling the work since the checkout lane scans the items.
Yep! You still scan everything! It’s so the app knows what items you got. And the scanning of them is so they can double check that you got the correct item! But in the checkout you have to scan them all again because you have to pay for the items with your shipt card!
@@TyraTheCreative Hi, Tyra, great video! I've been doing Instacart for a couple of weeks and applied to Shipt today. Instacart is very slow here in south L.Angeles. I saw only three batches all day long. I've been averaging two batches a day only. Frustrating😩Today I saw a batch so quickly and was afraid it would disappear from screen so I swiped to accept not realizing there was no tip, ZERO tip. The second one was a $2 tip. Ridiculous. I had to carry heavy 40 water bottles boxes all the way to the costumers door steps. So, do you think Shipt will be better? And how long they take to aprove your application?
Yes! If you’re worried about things thawing. But, I’m quick enough to get my things done without worrying about that. If i have a big order, i always do frozen last.
I got this particular one from Boohoo.com like 3 years ago, but I have a list on amazon with all my shipt shopper equipment and I have a similar fanny pack listed there! here is the link to my store! www.amazon.com/shop/tyraboo94
HI. I'm new to Schipt. I see that in my area there are 3 customers with delivery only. Can I pick up those 3 and delivery them? They will be ready for pickup at the same time and the delivery address is pretty close to one another. Hope to hear from you soon.
From a new Shipt subscriber. Question on cash tips. If I plan on tipping cash, the shopper will see an app tip of zero, and will be less likely to deliver. Am I wrong?
I just wonder if any customers had their name and number compromised in this video. As name and number have been shown. Isn’t that part of the policy? Not being rude just saying can’t trust lots of ppl on the net with that type of stuff.
Shipt driver stole my wife’s groceries 479$. Worth do they background check these drivers this Quella C. From San Antonio needs arrested shipt needs shut down
@@TyraTheCreative this weekend was crazy not the weekend i would recommend starting your first order ever but i had fun doing it and i got a perferred customer!! i learned valuble lessons that are helping me move forward and get my ratings back up
Just a question, when substituting items do they have to be in the same price range or if one substitution is a little higher in price how would that work? Thank you 🙏
I bought mine from a little bodega, but you can get them from target, Walmart, Amazon, I’ve even seen them in Kmart and biglots! They’re laundry carts. Or, atleast that’s what they were called where I got mine!
