Shiregreen: So long gone - a reference to Jim Croce 

Hello dear Mary, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your wonderful feedback, which touched me very much. I was only 18 years old when Jim and Maury and their good friends died, but I was still very moved. I had just started making songs and Jim's album "You Don't Mess Around With Jim" deeply moved and shaped me. I later came across Maury's debut album "Gingerbreadd" and it struck the same chord in me. Many of the later great Jim Croce songs were already hinted at here, they complemented each other perfectly. I've often thought about what else the two of them could have moved musically, so much soul, so much heart. And that was what drove my song. I would like to send you the CD and also my album "References" with songs for and about other great songwriters like Leonard Cohen, Bob Dylan or Joan Baez, which I would name in the same breath as Jim and Maury.
