I am 54 years old and as a teenage boy,I first heard Albertina on the radio, the song 'Walk around Heaven all day'. I would cry everytime because I could envision Heaven.I accepted Christ at the age 10 years old and joined the local church at age 15.I sing Gospel every since.I learned alot about Gods, love because of her music.I Am truly a blessed man. Love you and miss you Albertina Walker.
The fact of the matter is, she was not alone. For what ever others may conjure up in their gossiping human minds; Eric was their genuinely for her so let that be as it will.
@sangboi79 Oh yes, Albertina and Shirley remained good friends over the years and recorded duets together in more recent years(Jesus Is Mine` , `Things Are Gonna Get Better`, ` I`m Goin On With Jesus` ~Songs of the Church project`, `Gospel Legends project` and they certainly appeared together for various live performances even after that recent Caravan Reunion cd. I have often heard them both speak fondly and lovingly of each other. They were definitely true friends and that`s a fact !
People are so stupid! That boy took GOOD care of the Queen and these idiots wanna fight him because THEY didn't get an inheritance!!! May God have mercy on their souls for disrespecting HIS house!
How ironic...Dr. Albertina Walker's memorial held at Apostolic Church of God founded by Bishop Arthur M. Brazier who passed away yesterday (October 22, 2010). Saints are going home! Church get ready!
@hadassah1965 I am daddy's girl, too!!! This Sept. will make 3 years that my father has been gone, but I have his memory and love in my heart. We both have been blessed to have something so many people need and long for...a good father.
OMG this was simply beautiful Pastor Shirley Caesar wow; i was so honored to hear her pay tribute to Albertina Walker in the way that she did; i kinda thought she didn't like her anymore because she didn't participate in any of the projects so it seem lol lol
@lowcat1 I am Black! You have a bad case of "I DON'T GET IT" I grew up in the church and everytime there is a funeral or a wedding there always has to be some mess!! We are sooo different from other races. I thought everybody had mess going on at funerals until I became a singer and I sanged at other nationality funerals and see eveyone getting along and unified. I hope one day the black race can work together. So lowcat1 this in not BEYOND ME. God Bless You Too.
@gospelfanman your comment is really foolish.....Shirley had no reason to blow hot air, and She has been deemed the Queen of Gospel music as well, and for a lil while now. Albertina was up there too, and for all we know that facebook page may be some fan who created it, and its not even Shirley's remarks....you need to check yourself!
@CMHbywayofNC a caregiver. i think i heard that he got an heritance because he wanted on Ms. Allbertina hand and foot. (better than her own children) and family members are fussing because they didnt recieved anything
Shirley could not always be involved with every caravan reunion, etc. She is a pastor of a church and she took care of her husband who was much older than herself as well. But she did keep in touch with Albertina and often. She did not ever disrespect her nor did she ever forget what Albertina did for her. But as a pastor and as a wife to her now late husband dshe can not go and do everything!

@kingcash999 I DID NOT SEE INEZ. i dont know where she was. i was just venting a thought that if i were a betting person, i'd say was not the case. i'm sure Shirley and Inez have a functionable relationship... if they did not... for Albertina's sake... they could fake it BUT... why Inez was not there... i don't know... i was just venting a personal point at Inez's expense... nothing against Inez... i don't even know the lady.

@Blkrunna04 INEZ probably did not want to ATTACK Caesar onstage because of all of that HOT AIR she knew that Shirley would be blowing, while A CAMERA is on and as she profiled before it. If she loved Albertina THAT MUCH she wouldn't have the stuff she talks ABOUT HERSELF on her FACEBOOK PAGE.... how that SHE is this and that since Mahalia's death. talk is cheap. If she cared so much for her... i think she could had done a better job proving it. but what do I KNOW?

It's a shame how there is a lot of evil that goes on with a lot of the gospel artist. i believe that is the problem they get to cought up in the fame and glory that they forget they are still humans and suppose to minister the unadulterated gospel. but all you see and feel is FAKENESS.
