NO Wygant interviewed her when Bette had just finished `Hush Hush`. The interview is on RU-vid and I myself commented before seeing this at how awkward Davis and DeHavilland seemed to want to make it for the interviewer. I love Bette and she was not standoffish with me. Met her at the Los Angeles Women`s Press Club Xmas party. We chatted amiably. I was then teaching gender in film USC, the first course ever offered on the topic. Interviewed Shirley. Got on her wrong side. Wygant seems to strike the right chord.
