Hard disks can hold much more data, but they are also much thicker. The iPad can retain it's thin profile using solid-state flash memory (no moving parts, very thin).
I agree with 01iamaprofessional completely. IBM was the first to use full-touch. Even the iPaq series from HP are touch-based and are available before iPhone. Apple did introduced the use of multi-touch on smartphones, but it didn't invent it. Accelerometer was used in Nokia 5500, and most of the N series, for orientation sensing and motion input way before iPhones were made available. Although Apple made App Store popular, the concept is not new at all.

Part 1 was better. Needs a part 3 emphasizing the "just works" mantra. Everytime I get a reply e-mail from someone's iPhone (or iPad) with no file attachments, I have to chuckle at "just works". It only "just works" if your expectations are really, really low. It either "just works" or it "just doesn't".

well my brother owned a htc one few months ago... and DAYUM it's an excellent phone. the display, the quality, the stability (soft AND hardware - yes he let it fall sometimes and it does not have a scratch), the speed, the battery life is decent too... and costs less :P
commit seppuku. the reason plastic is better for a computer, especially a laptop, is that when one part breaks you dont have to throw away the hole thing. you can just exchange it. i had a macbookpro 13 inch and a toshiba 3d computer 15 inch, the mac for school, and my little brother dropped from a low chair and it was instantly destroyed, he did the same thing to the toshiba from a table but its still the computer im typing from today.

You are so absolutely correct. Their high brow conceited attitude over something that they really can't do a lot with it. As far as gaming, you can only do bootcamp to play games and they still don't always do it well. Steve Jobs was a marketing and design guy not a forward technology thinker, and he did it well but claimed they actually moved technology forward which isn't the case at all.
When a PC crashes all active programs revert to the last savefile. When the Mac at uni crashed it rewrote the last savefile with garbled data. Mac, not even once.
Both parts are hilarious! You know what, can make this an entire series, seriously. You don't need to make each 2+ minutes, even 45 seconds per video is great (and frankly, 2.5 minutes is a bit long for this particular kind of video; too much stupidity to consume ;-) )
The thing is, technically a virus is a program. And windows made it really easy for programers to change settings and do stuff to your computer. Where as on Mac you need a SUDO password to make these type of changes to your Mac.
Apparently you don't need a USB port, an auxiliary port, or an HDMI port. No you also don't need a dedicated GPU or more than 6GB of ram in a $2000 laptop. Noooooo that's not necessary at all.
Its honestly true. That's the reason I didn't like the ipad, because its essentially a big iphone, where the surface pro, and all the other windows 8 tablets are full operating systems, essentially netbooks, and powerful ones. and you just cant beat that, and they look awesome too.
Well, C++ is really old (a legacy to us from '80s) but it is still widely used, all Adobe programs are in C++, nearly all major games are in C++. But I will consider learning C#, thanks for the advice

The thing 90% of the people won't get is that the price of the monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, and "custom" designed hardware and software is also included in Apple's price. If you add that all up, you end up paying almost the same as with a custom built pc. Also keep in mind aluminium is an expensive material

I tried that Distro after only using windows since 1996 and holy shit it's very good and fast for working purposes. However if I want to play something I still need to move to Windows 7.
It doesn't offer the portability and looks of a Mac Air though. It's going to be hard for business people who are constantly on flights to carry around a big desktop + monitor.
Google "NZXT Crafted Series." They're computer cases, which are STEEL (just so you know, that's stronger than aluminum) and have FAR superior air flow than any Mac has, support for multiple liquid cooling systems, modular drive bays, removable motherboard trays, support for up to 5, 140mm fans, built in fan controllers (for all five of those channels), and did I mention the fact that they're steel?
You can do the same stuff on a PC, and better. Try a dual 8 core Xeon, 128GB of RAM, dual Quadro 6000s and you got a PC that edits composites circles around any Mac. A PC can get better if not equal boot times with an SSD.
I am so lucky nobody like that lives around me. I think I'd probably at least get 5-10 years for what I'd do to that guy by the 10th apple crap he spouted.
