2 things 1) as a long time Anji main I love the tech and showcasing the character strong points. 2) I love the editing and presentation of the video, it really keeps your attention while teaching others on what the character can and can't do.

Something I was struggling with on that first safe jump setup: You need to wait for your opponent to hit the ground off the throw before you c.S, or else they'll recover too fast and be able to punish the jump. Once you get down the timing of the c.S, that first safe jump is dead easy

YES! I honestly only use Shitsu in some situations, neither that or Kou hard knock downs were the bone of my gameplay si I feel this Anji is better than before, the only thing that I "miss" is the launcher on charged fujin but now at least if it is counter I can still follow up as I would normally do so... the gain from this patch overweight the loses. I already commented in other Anji videos because I am loving him and people seem to be whinning and screaming about how bad he is because they can spam the same shit they did before, like some Ino players with Stroke the big tree not being plus on block anymore lol

Also interestingly enough you can still use shitsu oki in the corner after grab, all you have to do is a micro walk backwards right after the grab ends

the moment you grab someone on corner try to "charge" shitsu, anji will take 1 or 2 steps back and butterfly will land and set up some very nasty combos, IF YOU GET THAT COUNTER RIN HAHAHAHA RIGHT GUYS BECAUSE WHY DO WE NEED TO COMBO OF OFF HIT RIN !? pfft what are we? lowtier gods or something

On a corner throw, you can 2S then Shitsu and its spaces correctly, right?

Honestly ALOT of OTGs work after throw in the corner (5H, 2H, even 2D, 2P, etc etc) aslong as you're confident in locking down your opponent after, you can make it work.

It looks pretty fun, but is it work for soft knockdowns? If it's only for hard ones, then what the point? Anji have hard knockdown only from throw now

Ye its mostly off hard knockdowns, but you can start these with 2D sweep aswell But i do understand how uncommon it is to setup these safe jumps, these are more for fun rather than for tactical use in actual high level matches

It’s really great to see that some people decided to learn how to use the reworked anji. I also feel like this version of anji makes a lot more sense. A lot of the “nerfs” were just adjusting moves that usually wouldn’t land to make them more useful but less effective. Which is how fighting games work. Nobody complains that falcon punch is strong because nobody gets hit by it.
