I don't think it's fair to talk about UNIFIL feud with Israel without mentioning fact that they didn't only fail to enforce UN resolution they were set to enforce, terror tunnels have been found by IDF near UNIFIL bases, how come UNIFIL didn't see Hezbolah building those just few meters from their bases? The fact that UNFIL is not being withdrawn despite repeated requests by Israel for them to do so is concerning. A peacekeeping force generally owes their presence to consenting parties seeking to maintain a peace where there might otherwise be hostilities. If hostilities break out and peace between the parties is not being sought, as evidenced by a party requesting those forces be withdrawn, those peacekeepers should be withdrawn as they no longer have the consent to act in that role. So why are they being kept there by the UN? Is it intentionally to create the opportunities for incidents to occur while IDF conduct operations? To encourage events to which further international condemnation can be levied against Israel? They certainly aren't being kept there because the UNIFIL forces have proven effective by any measure in fulfilling their mission to ensure hezbollah not be in Southern Lebanon.

i recently talked to my friend in the idf. in almost every shia town in the south, every house is used for weapon caches and a hesbollah base. except the dahye, no city is in complete ruins. only southern towns are and only because practically all houses there are used for hesbollah.
