When i sold my house i started to get a feel, like estate agent, what a house might sell for, rooms, garage, gardens, area.. It seems cars are the same. Watch loads of these videos too get a feel what stuff goes for. Education. Then go auction yourself and buy.

Good video Lee, your audio is best when your in the left corner of the hall. Every where else the speaker tends to drown you out 👍. Some cheap cars (Evoque, A class, Astra estate etc). Just shows though with that Merc & honda it really is wise to see these things in the auction hall & not online 👍.

It’s already on AT that Astra Estate. It’s up for £4K, and to be fair there’s 9 mostly in white too ( probably Ex - police cars ) and the one from G3 is the lowest priced in terms of like - for - like

5-8 year old PX cars are all under book but the retail prices need to be at least double that of multi owner older stock. One owners tend to make cap clean.

The XF has no MOT and failed last time, Jan 2024, as a rear door wouldn't open. Might have hidden problems??

Sorry Dan but I personally liked the content. I think it’s good to get an overview of what’s going on in the dealers market and let’s face it it all starts at the auction houses. Whether it’s low or high kits a great insight. Keep them coming Lee !

Lee. Absolute bargains as we know are a cap clean 1k car for £300 squids and an easy spin into 1799 or 1500 cap clean cars ok condition for £500/600. £2000 before fees for a £2200 cap clean car is just level buying. Problems with any / and all. No way knowing till turn key. May as well have a third book in a budget cheapy. Go on from there. Worst way scrap. So many clean body cars too close cap clean and end up needing a box or serious work.

I'm not so sure a benz with no service history is a bargain. It could turn out to be but i would call it a risk.

They are overpriced to begin with and prices fall like a lead weight. The trade know this and the average Joe knows too so they aren't biting hence they are bidding a below average or fair price for these motors.

The prices don't seem that low. After you add the auction fees, servicing the vehicle and other potential cost isn't a lot of profit gone for a dealer?

A class even with Renault 1.5 DCi have problems. Not a polished product.

Coulda, shoulda, woulda. The Astra was a £4.5-5K retail car all day. No good though if your market is limited to £3K.

Automobile Markets been inflated since 2020 & needs to come down.

Surprised to see there is not that much margin, 2/2k on average, not including the fee's aby repairs like tyers , brakes , light marks , by the time you get it back you be lucky to make 1500 quid.. would have to sell 10 cars a week to be worth all the over heads

Why are there so many automatics? I have only ever had one in my life back in 2010 it was a 3 litre Isuzu trooper I hated it and vowed to never get an automatic again, they are just horrible.

The auctioneer (as far as I'm concerned), should keep his opinions to himself...... he is there to simply get the highest bid, NOT say things like "lovely car, you won't see better" or worse still "booking at (then give the price)" - - - - - it's entirely up to the bidders as to how much the car is worth

Why is it only AstonB and G3 who pay a little for RU-vid content creator exposure. What’s wrong with bca and all of BCA’s lovely integrity having brand ambassadors. Really says something of how BCA rules the monopolistic roost. BCA car doesn’t match up condition or mechanic report is totally bobbins. Get F’k’ed , any problem any price car. Got to love BCA. They do have 15k cars weekly pretty much. And decent independents don’t.

They are all fossil fuelled cars, no electric just one hybrid. Perhaps might have got me more interested if there were some all electric cars.

I did a check in my transit custom , came up probably the worse van you could ever see , if I was was looking to buy this van gojng on this website would have put me straight off , now as in reality it's a great van well looked after and maintained , last two years went in for an over-keen mot tester , I thought it was Just general chat telling me silly things common faults to look out for things you wouldn't even mention , and then he actually put them down in my mot adversaries , fuming I complained , things like next year you kght need two new tyres but I had 6mm on them , Now it was thst bad I actually took my van elsewhere for another mot , and guess what ,? it sailed thru with no advisories whatsoever , but now Tho iv now got got bad marks against my van on this website ,tbh it's wanted for absolutely nothing l anything needed doing was done , no shortcuts itv was done Probably the Bert maintained van ever , now with marks afsinst it , Cani get them removed.?

Sorry Lee, I don't what others think but that content doesnt work at G3. I think it's because you aren't actively bidding/buying (unless you do later on, I didnt watch all of it). Just watching cars go through doesnt seem to work, especially when its not the sub 5k stock that you sell.

G3 don’t let the public buy cars like BCA ? 👎

Personally, these are not the cars I would choose at an auction, let alone in a dealer’s showroom!! My car has to be FULLY ELECTRIC, small enough to park in a small town space and it needs to be something like a Berlingo.
