In today's video, we're in Bangkok to compare a $30 budget hotel room with a lavish $300 luxury hotel room suite!
Thailand is one of the cheapest countries in the world to visit. This means that tourists can opt to stay in a super cheap budget hotel room (the cheapest we found was $5) or enjoy one of the city's many 5-star hotels for a fraction of the price you'd normally encounter.
The Lebua Hotel is one of Bangkok's luxury hotels with suites at around $300. This includes a balcony overlooking the city, a marble bathroom, sofa, huge bed, two TVs and unlimited food and drink until 6pm.
Rambuttri Hotel is one of Bangkok's many budget backpacker hotels. However, it is budget only in price. The hotel offers some of its best rooms for around $30. For this, you get a comfortable double bed, a decent shower, large safe and plenty of space with views overlooking the heart of the Backpacker District.
We give you a full room tour of each hotel room, plus we explore the local area to see what experience you're getting for your money. Lebua is in the Silom neighbourhood in the city's Bang Rak district. Here you'll find Lumpini Park, many shopping centres, street food, upscale eateries and rooftop bars.
But guess what? We found exactly the same in Soi Rambuttri, where the budget Rambuttri Hotel is located. So which option will steal the spotlight?
