With time quickly running out before my massive road trip to Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, I am scrambling to install the last few essential Jeep Mods. Today we get a brand new set of shocks installed from Elka Suspension, and several other items such as some lighting, bed drawers, rear bumper, and a few other things. I've had the same shocks on my wrangler (the 2.5 DSC) from Elka for the past 2 years now. I got them before they had their advertisement out. I special ordered them with rebound control as well. After 2 years, they have held up beautifully and they work great. They've been through 60,000 kms of road and pretty gnarly trails. I drove from Quebec to Alaska and BC, up mountains and glaciers, cross rivers and mud holes. The ONLY thing I hate about them are the bushings. They use spherical bushings with PTFE liner. The liner wears off in less than 6 months and they start clicking and get progressively worse from there. It annoyed me to the point that I took action and machined new spacers (to replace the brass ones) with a polyurethane bushing. I'm still testing it out but so far so good! If you get to the same point, let me know, I can share you my results and how to make them.

As a Toyota guy, I can attest to how good the Elka products are, so I hope you enjoy em. My first reaction to the Demonator badge was that it should be bigger, then you asked, so I'd vote for the same size as OEM. This is a great build Casey, I hope you're having a great first road trip in it.

The Demonator logo looks great on the hood and all the other graphics. The only thing that I would change is to integrate the demon logo with the horns into the word.

Looking good. I drilled drain holes in both drawers and both ammo cans in my decked after finding my drawer and chainsaw sitting in water. Easy job and worth it just in case.

I charge my lithium batteries while driving in a Jeep from the 115 volt 150 watt socket by connecting my GENIUS10 charger. The connection between the battery and the charger is made with Atwood 8 gauge connectors in homebuilt case. This way I always have a fully charged battery.

Thanks for sharing. I thought you would choose Radflo or ORI shocks. No BD Laser lights? Maybe Morimotos? If you fold do2n the windshield to can use to bring the sPOD wire into the cabin of the Jeep, I did so with a rollcage install. What brakes are you running with larger tires? I went with Teraflex Delta brakes.

The Demonator’s looking great Casey! Love the lights! I’ve got LP4s on my bumper and looking to put some pods on the A-pillars. Trying to figure out which mounting bracket to use (KC or Baja). I want to maintain enough clearance between the light and the windshield - cuz winter snow clearing is a thing! Do those KC brackets leave room to get a snowbrush or squeegee in there?

Yeah larger decals. I want those Baja lights. I cannot imagine the price of this vehicle now. Full retail. Beautiful machine. But I look at my Mojave stingray grey Gladiator and I’m content.

I’m surprised he could push that shock down so easily at 4:05. I tried with my Fox 2.5s and it took all my weight (210lbs / 95kg).

With the dual internal dampening system, a very slow speed compression is going to be very soft on the soft setting. The faster you go the more dampening will happen depending how they are adjusted

RV places sell them, $30 ish. Probably one 70 lb unit would do the job. It worked perfect for my home floor hatch.

The truck is looking great. You’re going to love those shocks once you dial them in. I agree with you that your hood decals should be larger. Cool video. You even stopped saying “ 800 hp supercharged AMW hemi v8” and making jokes about mpg. 😂 things are look up. 👍🏽🤘🏽

I just finished building my new gladiator and I’m interested in those Elka shocks I was going to go with the fox 3.0 or the fox 2.5 adjustable and was considering the bilstein‘s but I heard the bilstein‘s are very noisy apparently it’s a loud click you hear constantly Because of some type of valve in the rebound? Curious how the Elka‘s work out for you? You’ve got an awesome jeep I’ve gone from a 392 to a V6 Penn star gladiator but I love my gladiator and I’ve got a tall lift in big tires it’s awesome and after owning a gladiator I’ve had 14 jeeps and never had a gladiator in the pick up truck is just the coolest vehicle, someday I’ll be swapping to a V-8 but I would go probably mild with the factory 392 thanks for another awesome video👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
