This actually scared me. Our house was built 2011. It has never been cleaned. I told my husband he’s like no even when I showed him the videos. His brother is a handymen and he told me he cleans his every year. Therefore our friend is going to do it. We have one level house how many vents does it has I don’t understand, but it’s scary. Want to see how much will it come out. And the dryer does not dry out too well.
@@nydiaadorno9190I actually learned it from my repair guy he said you should clean them out at least every year especially if they are in a lower level and have to go up to get out. He always found a bunch of money and always left it on top of the machine
It's kinda funny that people who watch pimple popping videos end up with those suggestions for you to watch also I think has something to do with how relaxing they all are. I also get videos for people who do yard makeovers completely free for yards that are overgrown and make the neighborhoods look bad they're pretty relaxing as well that's how I ended up here
Lucky you are in the US. If you shoved your hand into a pipe like that to remove bird debri here in Australia, chances are you would get bitten by a deadly spider who was using it as a residence! Also the vents close to the ground woud be inhabted by some of our lovely snakes who would think it was a wonderful warm home!
Well all the moisture from your clothes, if the vent is blocked then it stays trapped. As well it’s not just debris and heat that can cause a fire but even a moist environment with all the right factors can create a fire.
You be surprised...when you take your wash from the washer and into the dyer that is hot drying your clothes the excess wetness from your clothes somehow will release its water into the drum of your dryer. I actually saw it and was baffled...but it was due to a dryer that needed to be reset to dry and still the clothes were damp and smelled.
I like the full videos however, I know they aren't for everyone. This compilation is really good! I suggest just making a playlist of all your favourite videos so that we can watch each from start to finish 😊
@@QuimBeeLivingstone Great feedback! I think there are many people that feel the same as I thought the compilation video would draw more eyes however it definitely isn't performing like my normal content! Thx Quim!
Everyone is interested in the 2 nd video clip…….. I’m wondering about snakes ? And you sticking your whole arm in some of these clips, and thinking a bird or worse a snake has took up residence. I also wonder if you shouldn’t wear eye protection? That stuff has got to get in your eyes. You’re a much braver person than I am. Thank you for the service that you provide to people and the awesome clips to teach others.
If I had known what I know now 15 years ago as a first-time home buyer, we would not have bought a house where the laundry room is an interior room. The dryer vent goes up and vents out the roof! There’s almost 30 feet of ductwork from the back of the machine to the vent through the attic. We get our duct serviced AT LEAST once a year because there are multiple bends. If we ever move, the laundry room on an exterior wall is a non-negotiable factor.
I was randomly led to this video, and I have a question. What kind of training do you need, to do this as a business? Do you need to be a plumber, electrician, etc? Or just have the funds to buy a ladder, screwdriver, leaf blower, airflow meter, drill, snake with a brush, gloves and masks, maybe a harness. (And of course the usual requirements to run a business, bonus points if you have the gear for RU-vid?)
I am absolutely shocked at what comes out of those vents. We don’t have vents in Australia, we just have the filters on the front of the dryer. I am forever telling my daughter to make sure she cleans it out every time. Terrified of a dryer fire. Do you think she listens? Nope
In the States we also have the front filter that is to be clean each use. Then the air exhausted goes out the back so the hot, moist air can be ducted out of the house. This duct work should be cleaned out regularly each year or so. Some haven’t done it for a decade or 2. Some don’t even know there is ducts. You might have an exhaust for your dryer. Where does the hot air exhaust come out of your dryer?
