I was a 1099 Medicare Agent for that company. Literally sold a Medicare Advantage plan, took a break, came back the dialer wasn’t working and I got the news. I was already working a plan to leave the company and Medicare industry to go into Life Insurance and Annuities. The shady ads telling people they’re going to get stimulus checks and $6K benefit cards just morally didn’t sit right with me. Assurance shutting down was a blessing in disguise. Appreciate your content it’s really helping with my transition.

Selling life insurance is not easy. That’s why the turnover rate is so high plus they don’t pay you a base salary.

@Melissa-mm7mt I used Kaplan Basic and the question on the exam where pretty much the exact same, I felt well prepared and passed within 40 minutes. It's 139 dollars for the package and they set it up to where you can complete all the work easily within a week. And thank you

Why? A gross industry based on fear. Did you watch this video? They don't care about employees or the people that they insure.

I suggest new agents and seasoned agents learn how to generate their own leads using RU-vid faceless videos, RU-vid in feed ads and Google ads. These leads are intent prospects who want a quote. If you get 10 contacts a day you should close 3-4. I'm retired now living off my renewals and investments. Worked my butt off for 25 years and averaged 15 to 17 interviews per week. My market was niche widows. I would mail a pink postcard out and either call in the morning to book an appointment for the afternoon. Then I would go to the field and give an interview. I worked certain neighborhood where I could give sometimes 3-5 interviews per day. Then I worked my prospects from millionaire life leads. This is important! If you are new agent make sure you get a immediate vested contract so you don't lose your commissions. Today you can get 90%-100% even $120%. Tell the company your a top producer. I saw the good, bad and UGLY in this business! You need to be an expert in getting leads. Check out www.finalexpensemillionkit.com and for social media knowledge go to: www.SocialMediaGoldCourse.com

Love when you share this stuff. I was a captive agent for many years and lost a lot until I switched fields in 2020. In sept. 2023, I became an independent agent, it’s a different game. I lost money in 2023 because I jumped in the deep end, fortunately I’m doing great now. Vids like this keeps me humble, and the live sales calls for me are what listening to music before a game is to a football player, I get motivated. Appreciate you bro!

I finally got my license after dealing with the state for 2 months. The company I was going to go to work for I am having second thoughts. There have been red flags and I don't think I want to go with them. I found out they aren't a MLM, but might as well be. I have been keeping them updated on my situation as I got my license, but they dont respond back. Not an "okay, ok, k,👍 or anything. I haven't sent my info over to them yet in case I wanted to go somewhere else. I wouldn't be locked in with them .

I mean... you're taking 2 months to get ready so I wouldn't expect them to stay really involved until it's time for u to join the team. They're a BUSINESS dealing with tons of agents coming in licensed and ready. And the turnaround rate is insanely high. They likely don't more of you're serious and won't give too much energy until they have a reason to.

I was still contracted for them but have been selling life insurance captive for the past 2 years, so I haven’t sold with Assurance in a while. I checked my email to find out that they released my Medicare appointments and are closing.

I love your content and appreciate how you just put us all on game becuase youve genuinely done well for yourself in this industry and I work for possibly the company that you may have joined from the start and I think ffl it’s a good company depending on the agency you join like me personally I am under a lady boss that buys me all my leads like over 1k a week in leads and I sold 40k this month as my first month doing it full time since quitting my job still hasn’t even been 90 days since I started selling period and I haven’t been advised to buy leads if anything they tell me while I’m at 70% comp to just relax and prove to myself I can be profitable off any leads and prove to myself I can sell to anyone before I go and generate my own leads whenever I break away and start having to pay for my own deals becuase that’s when it will actually matter. One question tho is I think I’m a very natural at sales n general this is my first sales job that i actually committed to was thinking about doing door to door but I hear so many bad stories about ffl and I always comment on your vids becuase I wanna know your opinion on them and specifically the company Americo

I have a question Peter. I recently started working for a company and sometimes the leads number are not in service and the names don’t match the phone number. Is this normal? Are we getting scam? Also the way it works is that once you buy the pack they give you the leads little by little not the 25 pack at once. Something seems fishy. But here people are making money for sure but I’m new to this and I’m just a little worry

No offense man, but hearing you say you want to change the industry but yet during your sales scripts you're teaching to call prospects and use an opening line like "HEY ARE YOU OKAY?!" Feels disingenuous to say the least. I wouldn't want the insurance industry to go in that direction.

Hey Peter I’ve been doing research telling me that whole life policies are a scam. The company i work for sells a whole lot of whole life. So I haven’t been quite sure how to feel about it. After doing the maths I don’t feel like some of our products are a good deal. What do you think about this?
@morethanenoughwoodworks7654
@morethanenoughwoodworks7654 2 месяца назад
Remember what life insurance is. It's not an investment. It's a risk management tool with some tax advantages. Whole life does build cash value, but selling it based on that 'benefit' is absurd. Again, NOT an investment. That said, the fact that once you're in, the coverage never goes away and the premiums never increase represents amazing value, especially for young people. Term is fine for some purposes, it will go away and the cost of replacing that protection will be much more expensive when the time comes. It serves a purpose, though. People need both term and whole life and they need to understand why. You can get into the weeds talking about IULs etc but whole life 100% can be of great value.
@chayo9548

interesting. I'm on my first week with American Income Life / Globe Life and we sell a variety but they do focus on Funeral relief, accidental death and some early start policy for minors.
@chadwick5234

Paying a premium of $50-100 and then dying and it pays out 10-20-30K, not sure how that’s a scam!
@chayo9548
@chayo9548 Месяц назад
@@chadwick5234 exactly. The moment your policy is active you’re covered. If you get an accidental death benefit of $20 k and you die the next day in a car accident your beneficiary gets that.
@jennica2240
@jennica2240 Месяц назад
@@chadwick5234 maybe our products are just really not that competitive then. With a lot of them it seems to almost always be that you’re paying more into the policy than what you end up getting. Assuming these people live a certain amount of time which under their circumstances is very likely. Ig I’m just thinking there’s gotta be a better way so this doesn’t happen, like getting a cheap term so you know are you insured, and investing the same amount of money you would have put towards a whole life. So it’s destined you’ll come out with more than you put in rather than the opposite. Or even just setting aside your own savings each month and state in your will where that money has to go to. I’m really just trying to learn what’s best after coming across this side of the argument ya know
