A few weeks ago the Corvair finally let me down. The ignition system that was new when I started this project failed again. The condensor was likely the culprit but I replaced everything just to be sure.
I'm done with points, they're old and antiquated and today we're replacing the entire ignition system with a Pertronix Ignitor II distributor, Flame Thrower 40,000 V coil, new plugs and new wires. Hopefully this will be the last time I work on the ignition system.
