Saddest thing about wcw going under was that my favorite stable ever, the filthy animals, got lost. Rey, Kidman, Tori, Tigress, Disco, Konnan. I mean they followed Ric Flair in a lowrider, mugged him, and stole his watch and shoes.

Rick Steiner has some of the Ted Turner "facts" wrong. Turner started channel 17 WTCG in Atlanta. I grew up in Marietta around the time all of this was happening and got to watch WTCG morph in to WTBS. Ted Turner was a huge wrestling fan and made sure that Georgia Championship Wrestling was part of his programming.

Great video...I loved wcw back in the day but it was so heavily mismanaged all the time. From no one who really knew what they were doing to bill watts who did but was racist. And then bischoff hit gold and blundered it in the end. And it's not all bischoffs fault in some perspectives but in another way it was. He gave out creative control too far to the talents especially Hogan. And those egos ultimately ruined the best angles in the company from goldberg being beat by nash just to turn around and do the finger poke deal. And then hogan and sting with bret as the referee after the real ref counted a slow 3 count. And the Vader momentum they could have had that took an immediate backseat to Hogan. Then Jericho and goldberg could have been so much better. Lugar's world title run was way too short and so were macho mans. And the whole bischoff and flair feud for far too long and not using one of his best talents with piper and warrior and guys who could have had great segments together and didn't. It was just a complete mess and it ruined everything.
