Hi!! Sorry this is kinda long. I think her fire power was purely from the gods her whole life. She was born in the right circumstances and chosen by the gods to be given this fire magic and then forge the lock with the fire magic to return it to the gods. She maybe could have had a mix of water and fire bc of her ancestors but since an heir of Mala had to be sacrificed they took all her fire magic and her mortality. Therefore leaving her with her water magic and immortality. She only got some fire in the end bc again it was given by the gods. As far as her being left with very little magic, she’s a demi-fae and we saw most of the Demi-fae at mistward have very little magic. I assume if Aelin weren’t born in the right circumstances to forge the lock she would just be a normal Demi-fae with her mother’s water magic and a strong enough ancestral line to settle and be immortal.
@@merymoga530 you are my hero, this checks out in my brain. Thank you. 😂 I will now have to do a third read through so that I can *finally* make sense of this ending. LOL
