Standards of living in China is at least 20 years ahead of the US. China is an orderly country, very clean, addictions and homelessness is unheard of there, low crime rate, cost of living is low, everything is so cheap there 😂 and I love roaming around all the big malls in Shenzhen, food is everywhere, affordable and abundant, so of course I choose China 🎉.

In China, Westerners are a specially treated group. If something belonging to a Westerner goes missing in China, the police will quickly help you find it. But the Chinese will not receive such treatment. "一等洋人二等官三等少民四等汉" Even Chinese women want to marry Westerners. Of course Westerners are very happy in China. They want you to take them out of China 😀

This is in central and southern Manhattan btw, US, the smell of urine mix with human shit and marijuana 8am in the morning with needles and homeless laying around while China is squeaking clean, no homeless in Beijing just tons of crowd. I think US is a place you can do whatever you want, but nothing is guaranteed. China is a place you play nice and be hardworking and not entitled, you will likely be alright. Why Taiwan is the fundamental principle? I'll try to explain briefly. China lost Taiwan when it came to Korea's aid. Japan killed Queen MyeongSeong in the palace, degraded her body in the face of King Gohjong. Then Japan begin the removal process of King Gohjong, and he seek for Qing Dynasty's help, as Korea and Ryuku was a protectorate state of China that time (Vietnam used to be as well). China lost the first Sino Japan war and had to give Taiwan to Japan (and subsequent SCS islands) as well as Ryukyu (Okinawa) was taken over by Japan along with areas in Manchuria. This, add up with the Opium Wars, the burning of the Summer Palace by the 8 western nations (and Westernised Japan), was the culmination of what Chinese terms 100 years of humiliation. During Japan's surrender from WW2, the Potsdam Agreement and Cairo Agreement that was signed (it's still documented in Japan's National Library archives), Japan agreed to return Formosa (Taiwan's Spanish name) and subsequent islands to China, and Japan will be limited to its own territory (excluding Ryuku, i.e. Okinawa) only. When the civil war happened, Chiang Kai Shek retreated to Taiwan, but US army in Taiwan Strait prevented the CPC from conquering and reuniting the country, then of course the Korean War happened and China - US became enemies. The reunification of China is the closing of the chapter of a Century of Humiliation. If China couldn't close this chapter, the story hasn't ended, the humiliation, the rage, the vengeance, the crimes of Nanking and the Unit 731, the plundering of China by Western forces etc, hasn't end without the reunification of China as a whole. This is how they see themselves. And for me as a Malaysian, why am I here? Simple, because Japan attacked China and my great grandmother sent my grandfather who was then 12 years old, on a boat, alone, to Singapore. My entire family were Singaporeans until our nation split and my dad became a Malaysian. We all know these history in every single detail, and this is much more important than the will of the 23 million Taiwan Chinese when compared to the will of 1.4 billion mainland Chinese and the rest of us scattered all over the world from the great diaspora of Chinese people. I of course now love Malaysia, my country, my home, my culture. But we know our ancestor's stories and roots, hence why the world's Chinese wants to see a peaceful reunification. The only reason it doesn't seem peaceful now, is because US policy dictates the Tonya Harding of a peer competitor is the right thing to do.

the most modern reason is.. taiwan is china's crimea.. there's no way china will ever let taiwan be independent and got totally proxied by the US.. so the question is not "will china attacks taiwan?" but rather "will the US make china attacks taiwan?" just like how the US made russia invade ukraine.. all the US have to do is to tell lai ching de to declare independence officially.. there is no way china will let taiwan become a US proxy for security reasons.. china's highest GDP cities are mostly located on their shores.. china will not afford to take an unsinkable US aircraft carrier just outside of the proximity of their largest and richest cities.. shanghai, fujian, guangzhou, hongkong, macau, shenzhen, their space assets in hainan, risking suzhou, changsa, nanjing, wuhan.. effectively turning south china into a warzone.. the moment laichingde declares independence, is the moment taiwan will be locked down, china will declare no fly zone, take kinmen and penghu, and take out every military assets in taiwan.. will china attacks US assets in taiwan though? again.. china will never allow taiwan independence on grounds of it becoming an unsinkable carrier for the US.. there's this one china military channel called "china defense and military tube". you'd see for yourself, will or will not china attacks US assets when necessary..

This is an American guy who knows the reality. He lived in China and reported it from the ground. I lived in Hong Kong and visited mainland China many times and can corroborate everything he says. Life in China is safe, predictable, most things work well. Transportation is reliable, clean, and affordable. We barely see homeless people or beggars in the large metropolis. Although their political system is violently opposed by the US, at the end of the day it brings more benefits to their people than our corrupted and failed Western representative “democracies”. I invite you to visit China and see it with your own eyes, rather than repeating NATO-oriented mainstream media propaganda. Cheers

Singapore is great!!!. They have a good leadership and PM. They are not 1.3 billion poor and not a Industrial nation. It is a financial huge with lots of foreign companies. Singaporean are smart, a small county don't want to a proxy of anyone. Focus on Money than Military. However, I don't understand some people say no freedom. What does that really means? Absolutely freedom is contradictory to laws and enforcements. How would Freedom apply to family community and company business policies. Could those people give some real good examples because I live in a democratic Freedom country. We have free guns and gun control, but most students got killed and they're innocent get killed. We have freedom of speech. we used that to say F..k the president, govt, polices, mother/father and brothers. We don't like walls but we have hundreds of military bases over the world. the biggest and the most advanced Arsenal around the globe. We have good social programs for illegal immigrants, for robberies and murderers, but the citizen cannot retire and the business forced to close. We say college students are our future but they cannot speak the death of innocent people in Gaza. They got arrested, jailed and Congress passed a law just for that. We love our environment free trade and competitions, then we pass sanctions, we increase trade tariff, we blocked Huawei, tiktak, import eCars in the name of security and buy more oils so the rich continues to gets richer Because we say we are democratic and free nation make us good therefore others are bad and dictators? Is the definition of Communist b/c is the election system is different, by State representatives vs Buy votes with interest campaign donations. Now a day I am so confuse with media and so people just throws words or opinions just basic on feelings regardless is right or wrong. Just like at the mirror, there is a reflection of you, another human being from the half side of the world who is less fortunate and try to survive and find dignity at the same time. PEACE.... Your success model is a symbolic model of how people from diverse cultures and race should embrace shared learning and respect rather than placing one-self above the rest, and that's how the imbalance arise between current US & China relationship. Congratulate you for being outwardly spot-on to venture into China at young age and cast a remarkable journey that you'll never forget till you aged. Your encouragement for more American young people to replicate your journey is encouraging and if you could add a portfolio to lead them to China to start anew a life where you started, you would have been a great ambassador to bringing world peace and joy. Great job Cyrus.

wow, he is so right about really knowing your country by staying outside for something, at least two years or more, my experience is when I went to Australia, the first year was amazing because everything is new, different or novel, then, by the second year, it starts to become routine, the climate and job becomes the main focus, comes third year, I am starting to question if I want to stay forever, to really know the difference, one has to come back to the home country yearly, this will prevent the acclimatization ( like a frog slowly boiling in the pot" too soon and so the difference become a lot glaring. after five years, with a big, landed home, visited lots of places around, I begin to realize that even though Australia is like heaven with open spaces and cheap homes (as compared to Singapore), I still prefer the constant topical climate because I cannot take the seasons and the convenience and closeness of everything, so I traded my landed home and slow life for a pigeon in the sky and the hustle and bustle of semi city life back in Singapore. I do miss Australia, but I can visit anytime. actually, where is home may be different when one is young and free, married with children and old but free and easy.

The interview shares a detailed perspective on the misconceptions many people, particularly Americans, may have about China. Cyrus, the person being interviewed, emphasizes that many Americans view China through an outdated lens, believing it to be a place with no freedom, stuck in an underdeveloped past, much like the 1970s. However, he notes that modern China is drastically different-developed cities, clean streets, and a safe environment, even at odd hours like 2 a.m. in major cities like Shanghai. He also discusses his personal experience as an American living in China for ten years, where he never felt a lack of freedom. Instead, he highlights how learning Mandarin and integrating into Chinese culture opened many opportunities for him, both personally and professionally. For instance, his ability to speak Mandarin allowed him to secure a prestigious job as a golf coach, a role he wouldn’t have been offered if he had not embraced the language and culture. Additionally, Cyrus touches on how Chinese people are incredibly curious and welcoming towards foreigners. They often know more about America than Americans know about China. He contrasts this with the lack of global awareness he believes many Americans have, given that most Americans don't travel abroad and don't fully understand the world beyond their borders.

And they promised the Chinese that under their leadership China shall beat America and reclaim Taiwan etc (That's nationalism, the promise of collective prosperity etc, no different from every other Nationalistic ruler in human history, Including ol'Adolf). Yes the Germans loved Ol Adolf all the way till 1944...so what's your point????

@@booseeyang Yes, the local DMV, that's low level. Not the Mayor of the City, not the Chief of Police nor in fact the head of the corruption bureau. I have seen the Mayors' family members get property deals, special loans from banks etc, and they took business deals and shares in companies who wanted favours or needed to avoid legal prosecution, I have literally heard heads of police discussing how to break up a lucrative business in order to share the proceeds of the break-up, and worse of all, the son of a provincial level Corruption Bureau Chief demanding a bribe so that someone could win a public tender...and these events happened during Xi's tenure. The way the COVID police in China abused their powers was in full display and there WAS NO Recourse for the common people.

Good job CCP's american fellow hahaha As a western guy who lives in China for more tahn 12 years (married and kids here), I can confirm that public security in China is really better than many western countries, but the price for that is high, we need to pay it with our freedom and privacy. There are a lot of problems in China, but at teh same time there are many opportunities. It's not a hell, as some people say, but it's far from being a place better than the USA, specially for non chinese people. For a non chinese, stay living in China is hard, and you will never have China as your home, because China doesn't allow even the ones who marry chinese people to have a "chinese greencard". Chinese people are very friendly and I believe they would accept foreigners having green cards etc, the problem is C-C-P, they don't like it hahaha The guy on the video will need to return to his country someday, no matter how much he loves China.

China is not an immigrate country. As far as the cameras in public places, as long as you don't do bad things, it shouldn't bother you at all. Besides why you want to private thing in public😂

I don't want the freedom to own a gun. I want freedom from guns. Similarly, I don't want the freedom to [censored: cause a human life to reach its conclusion in an untimely manner], because I don't want others to have that freedom. Civilization takes away carefully chosen freedoms to reduce suffering and enable prosperity. These restrictions are dependent upon the culture from which the civilization emerges. One would expect a collectivist culture to create a society which differs from the US. I see China as harder working, smarter, kinder, safer, and more generous to the world. I cannot adequately share my feelings about the US without getting censored. You'll just have to imagine a few lengthy paragraphs of eloquently expressed contempt for its very nature.
