Nope. It is a depression in the lands topology. That was a dam in the olden days and should never had been issued with property ownership documents. Corruption loading. Yet the Govt officers facilitating such things get away unscathed. EACC, please investigate how such deals were done and nail the culprits.

This is riperian land, Kenyans never listen they buy and build on riperian land while the government has always said don't do it. The government should just demolish all the houses and homes on riperian land and the buyers can sue people who sold them land, this is nonsense.

Yeah the government says don't do it. But the same government is bribed and people get permits to build on it. Let their houses flood. Next time maybe they won't pay bribes to get residential permits on public swamp land. The water is exactly where it should be. These people who get rich quick are morons who don't bother with due process and research. The person selling might be a conman but the person buying bears blame too.

How was subdivision and issuance of titles done without involvement of the Govt? The Govt must do much more than it has been doing to safeguard the sanctity of land ownership documents. Don't title deeds and certificates of lease or certificates of title have sanctity to their names?

What is the meaning of the word Foundation? It implies to so many things in our lives & what we do. Even Karen is flooding. It used to be Kano plains when we were young. The rains are only long seasonal rains when Kano floods. It means Lake Victoria is full. Pole those who have been bereaved & property destroyed. At least we have water as water is life.

Ukiskia two rivers... nairobi water has a pumping plant there... that says it was a water catchment area. it was a coffee farm... it can also flood

Where exactly in two rivers does Nairobi Water have a water pumping plant? Never seen it. Secondly two rivers have a sloping gradient and naturally drain into the two streams from which the name "Two Rivers" is derived. It can only flood if the natural flow of the two streams is interfered with.
