Is the friend you travel with a white guy? I can definitely here he is white. Not got a problem with it. And most black people worldwide cook our meet very well but of course not burnt.
$5 for rabbit isn't a huge bargain considering we get ones 1/2 as big again in Australia for about $8. Due to the British bringing rabbits to Australia for hunting sport, we have a HUGE amount here to the point we could literally herd them into nets straight out of our fields in the 1930s and even the late 50s. My grandfather used to do it and I think my father can remember 1 or 2 in the late 50s. My cat catches them and struggles to bring them in thru the cat flap and eats them later. The BEST way to eat them is to fry them. It's like high class fried chicken. On occasion I catch one by hand or hit one with a car and eat it. You can butcher them with a steak knife.
Btw you WANT THEM to overcook meat there. The parasite problems and cleanliness issues REQUIRE it unless you want to get seriously ill. You DON'T want to boil rabbit because it has out of control gelatin levels. It's edible but the gelatin is crazy and it's nicer to fry or grill.
Actually, it's a small clique of individuals who hoarded riches from plundering minerals from the neighboring DR Congo and by embezzling public funds from international aid. Now France is using the Rwandan army to protect French corporations settlements that are stealing resources in Africa.
I think your thumbnail is misleading. Though her words were not 100% clear, she did not call you "mzungu". To the best of my ability, I heard "ibyo bintu by'abazungu zungu" which should lead to believe that she was rather refering to your camera as most african rural areas cameras are usually associated with things that white people would carry.
She talked about the people who behave as white taking pictures and filming people. You title is just to attract or choc many viewers. According to what she said she's not okay to be filmed. It's a kind of disapproval
Look at the Americans running their mouths, it's the comments you make that show your American racist. Stay in America don't bring your hate to East Africa we are not the same. Bambi No mwanyinaze Muzungas webale American

Amazing country in Africa, I have never been in any country in Africa.. My daughter visited RWANDA in 2014 And only positive talking about this beautiful, greenery landscape - I have got a handicraft tecup as a nice gift from RWANDA. I have here in my working table for pens. Thank you for sharing your clip of video, Quite interesting. Hope that one day after retirement so I will have opportunity to visit RWANDA and other countries in Africa. Best wishes from STOCKHOLM - SWEDEN
I miss Rwanda. I did some work there before and drove through it to Burundi and DRC years back. What a beautiful place. I did not visit the rural Rwanda as such. I was mostly in Kigali. On my way to DRC, I spent the night in Gesenyi near the border.
Meat is grilled dry so that the meat could have a longer shelf life and not rot. This was how it was done everywhere before they ever laid hands on a refrigerator
It only amazes me that the food service is no exception to a five-star restaurant coming from a village Hut our people are amazing undoubtedly what heights we rise in such little resources, 🌄🦍
That was one of the best made travel docs I've watched in a bit. You have a very relaxed manner in your travel and great timing on everything in the making on the video. Asante.
How can Americans help with people like the lady in the video? We aren't colonists, its against our laws. We hate genocide even though many support China's genocides with their money. Can you translate what she is saying also? Many of us regardless of color are very interested in your people and way of life. Would love for you to teach me your history from your/her perspective. Would love for this gentleman to be treated with more kindness as he travels, he/we truly just want to learn. With very much respect and kindness, Your Friend.
I really appreciate what you're doing. Even though I can't afford to travel down to Rwanda, at the moment. With just my data and smartphone from Nigeria. I'm able to kind of, have a peek of how life is over there.
Trust me Africa is blessed. The youths just need to unleash their full potential which there is a need to invest, financially, spiritually, physically...etc and then we will see greatness. And as we can see the future is brighter.
WOW..I enjoyed this video..thanks for sharing this.. when they was making bricks I seen something similar in west Africa but never saw the bricks being made but it's amazing
Nice video, thank you. I don't know why it says "shocking" though. There isn't anything shocking about village life in Rwanda. It is very peaceful as you can see (unless you're a rabbit). And regarding that, as a vegetarian from the US, I feel much better about the way Rwandans kill the animals for meat, in general, than the factory farms and slaughter houses in the US. Anyhow thanks again for a nicely made, laid back video.
A really very enjoyable watch - thanks. The pestering for more money when you've already been generous is something that really irked me on my own trip to Africa.
@@WillieFungo you should may asked her before recording because most africans don't like being on camera. Good videos concept by the way. Do some interactive videos like interview, etc..
Nice video. I love seeing how other people live across the world. Rabbit is a common meat among hunters in North America. Used to buy it in corner stores but haven't seen it lately. I wonder how well that knife sharpening thing works. We have knife steels (steel rods used more to keep an edge than to sharpen, but I prefer the ceramic rods) but typically use files to sharpen machetes. Never seen a knife before sharpened on the back of a machete. I like my steak soft, but I over cook my pork from fear of stomach bugs.
I WENT TO RWANDA TO SEE THE MOUNTAIN GORILAS. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!!! RWANDA WAS ALWAYS KNOWN AS THE SWITZERLAND OF AFRICA. THE COUNTRY OF THE THOUSAND HILLS. THE PEOPLE ARE THE NICEST HUMANS ON THIS EARTH. THEN.....THE GENOCIDE BETWEEN THE HUTUS AND TUTSIS. I LEFT FOR ANGOLA THE DAY THE GENOCIDE STARTED. AMAZING HOW RWANDA HAS IMPROVED. GOD BLESS THEM AFTER SUCH A HORRIBLE GENICIDE. 😇🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰 LOE RWANDANS!!
Those New Home Constructions Were Beautiful.. But What I Really Really Like Is The Rabbit.. It Looked Really Good.. And Yes, Rabbit Does Taste Like Chicken.. 😁😁😁😁😁
I had never eaten rabbit until I went into a Sichuan restaurant in Qingdao, China. Although I can speak a little Chinese, I can't read it so I pointed at. something that looked good on the menu. It was quite tasty and I found out it was rabbit when I paid for the meal.
Sports fans and beer drinkers will find a paradise.., l know .. been there and have sampled very high class beers and seen some great sports. I am British and l know what l am talking when it comes to those subjects.
Congratulations Rwanda 💯👍👍🌟 shining example of the rest of Africa!!!!!! You Seriously put to SHAME all those showy" natural rich resources" countries who are enriching themselves, instead of building their nations!! Thanks for sharing 👍
@@WillieFungo Which Palm? In my home town,in the hills of southern Tanganyika, there were only three coconut palms that never bore fruit. You could not drink palm brew. However, bamboo was tapped for ulanzi which was fermented.
ENJOYED this video..they are definitely my kind of people. As a Hebrew African American I enjoyed the way they was eating with the onions and grilling.. but I can SKIP the rabbit 😁 chicken or fish some goat for me 😁😁
