This might just be the most useless update yet! It's shockingly bad! There are things I would love in the DJI Osmo Pocket 3 but Firmware V01.04.0802 didn't have any of it.

I've seen other people talk about the "fpv lock" mode, and no one seems to know what it does....😂 It's sad.

It doesn't operate any different than the other fpv mode. Please name a video where somebody is showing it actually operating differently. I would love to see it in action.

Angle the camera around 45 degrees with the lens pointing away from screen. Now double tap the joystick to re-center - try this with the two different FPV modes and you will see the difference. The new FPV is to address the fact that some people did not like the automatic flashlight mode that the original FPV mode provided. Maybe it could have been a toggle in the settings to disable the flash light mode instead of a separate FPV mode. Anyway, I don't use flashlight mode so I appreciate the new FVP mode.

Since making this, I kinda figured that out. It could have just been a choice within the standard fpv mode, I think, as well.

I wish they updated the auto tracking so it was smoother or even slower.....too jittery if you are filming too close to you. Every head movement will move the entire camera!

I agree. It's rare that I use it for my vlogging style videos because of that reason.

The gimbal mode seems pointless. I like the idea of the manual focus. Thanks for the funny rundown of this update!😂

01:02 My Osmo would start up look about 2 to3 degrees facing up, I had to double tap it everytime to align it. After the update it starts up correct. Start yours and double tap the joy stick you will notice it aways starts off center. maybe its a detect in mine now it has a slight perpendicular movement that was not there before the update.

Yeah it does seem useless but you figure there had to be a reason for it i guess. That is my major complaint also that they need an icon on the screen to change gimbal modes quickly. The pocket 3 is just a great camera though even with some.of its flaws.

DJI Pokcet 3 is made and design for human beings of all ages to shoot for great video with ease. The current outdated camera structure is only good for photo. There is no needs to buy a traditional camera except for some professsionals.

I think you need to watch someone else's RU-vid video about the updates so you know what they are and how to use them. haha. The updates are great....

I've watched several different videos. And no one seems to be able to actually show how the new FPV mode is any different. People say it's different, like it will stay at 90° or "Perpendicular" to the monitor but I've tried moving it around like they're saying and I still have to tap to recenter after moving it around just a little bit. I will do a follow-up video that's a true comparison of the 2 and let everybody judge off of that. It's a wasted and pointless feature.

this new mode is perfect to shoot an object, for example the keyboard of the computer. Useless for you does’n,t mean useless for everybody ;)

It operates the exact same as the standard FPV mode. There is zero noticeable difference. I also did state several times in this video, "Just my opinion."

@@EddieStudios Absolutely not. Try this: position the camera horizontally, for example to film your computer keyboard. If you want to reset the gimbal (double click on the joystick), in FPV-T mode the gimbal positions itself parallel to the camera screen and looks at the keyboard. In FPV mode, it positions itself perpendicular to the camera screen and films in front of it, horizontally. And that's just one of the behavioral differences. This mode is ideal for "joining together" the plane of the nacelle, with the plane of the camera itself, in particular for filming downwards.
